Oh Yeah. That forecast is a thing of beauty. Think I'll be heading to Alpy tonight. Blue helmet, Tan/Green Jacket.

It felt like I saw 17 guys up there on Pontoons. Or maybe it was the same guys over and over.

I also saw some kinda pain train speeding out the Snorting Elk traverse, led by a guy on Asteroids with a yellow coat and a toque. I tried to catch it, but it lost me in the Right Angle trees.

Today was a 17 Pontoon Day at Xtal.

If the winds don't get too strong, I'll be looking for the toque on Saturday morning! However, if it looks like winds will have a possiblity of placing the upper mountain on windhold, I'm Stevens-bound.

Not sure who all is paying attention, but this needs to be in every PNW thread.

EXTENDED WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
Strong westerly flow in the north Pacific should bring
another frontal band of moisture into the region early
Sunday. This should cause increasing heavy precipitation at
gradually rising freezing levels Sunday. Post frontal
showers at cooling temperatures are expected later Sunday
into Monday along the west slope areas. A gradually
rebuilding upper ridge Monday should allow for drying and
partial clearing with gradually rising freezing levels and
generally light winds. Yet another strong system is expected
Tuesday to renew moderate to heavy precipitation at rapidly
lowering freezing levels and also with very strong winds.

I'm intending for Saturday, but with the fortuitous familial forces flowing, I might not go at all.

Rest ass you're ed, if I go, I'll be up near the front of the line.

Yeah... the wind is gonna keep me from making the drive to xtal.... Skibowl's summit is a little above 5000 and its more sheltered than ridge at xtal so I am gonna hit it in AM. Not as much variety but it won't be crowded until the afternoon. So freshie will be plentiful and disease will be medicated.

Still hoping for a pow day at crustal monday or tuesday.

Let it be known that Bob at Crustal lift maintenance spent Wednesday night all night running Rex and Forest Queen so they wouldn't ice up.

Props to him for keeping the lifts going.

    A) Is Alpy going to be goooood on Saturday?
    B) If so, is anyone going to be there?

I've got a sick (literally) gaper friend in town. She was going to ski on Saturday, but she's too sick to go. She's a good friend though and understands the clause. I can steal a half day or so. I suppose if Stevens is going to be waaaay better, I might be able to sneak away there for the whole day.

    Holy - PROPS! Very cool!

Looks like we're heading up to Stevens then. Bummer on the wind factor. If we don't hit Alpy on Sunday- maybe we'll see you at Crustal then.

Shmerham- Alpy WILL be sick on Saturday. I would wait for C2 opening- no matter how long- and snag that glorious run down Nash first thing. That alone is one orgasmic run when it's that deep! just ask Buster.

I hope it's good because I'm kind of locked into going there at this point. I'll be up there with a few others. See my description above, your welcome to join us.

Just like Jerry, "I will survive"....and perservere thru the storm tomorrow at Crystal.

I will also be swilling beers at the Elk tonight with friends. Anyone who would like to talk about elitist snowboarding stuff, find me....then buy me a beer!

See you in line early. I am crossing my fingers for the upper mountain.
