There are a few things we can take away from this...

1. Alta is fucking weird.

Pretty sure I would have tossed a knee or shoulder into your groin and some serious go bugger yourself agro if I'd been waiting in a hell line and your show up at last minute to snag my spot in line. I am confused. I am not familiar with this lift, but I can clearly see from the video that there are two entrances open here (and a ski school line).

Why isn't anyone else using the lift entrance on the uphill side? It looks perfectly fine to me. Just because the other people there are too ignorant or lazy to skate over there doesn't mean that it's not available.

I would have done exactly the same thing. Luffski, you're a pussy for not grabbing that guy by the neck and pulling him off the top of your skis.

A couple weeks back.. on busy weeknd I'm driving home on a 4 lane divided highway. Its right around 4 oclock so all the people are leaving the resort. I'm already on the highway. So as I'm approaching the junction where all the resort people are getting on the highway there's a cop who has someone pulled over way up ahead on the right side.

The law here is that if you're in the right lane, you need to slow down to 38 for emergency vehicles and if your in the left lane you can go the speed limit. No big deal right? Pretty simple.

Everyone is all going directley from the merge lane to the left lane and slowing down to like 10-15, completely blocking access to the right lane. No one is in the right lane and traffic is practically moving.

It was completely absurd and fucking retarded... so I stayed in the left lane, let one guy in, then went into the right lane and passed the sheep. Then some copyed me and the retardedness probably ended.

None of them had two goddamn sou to rub together but they fought over those fucking carrots like cats and dogs. I would sit in the sidewalk cafe with my friend Louis the abortionist and we would laugh at these serious women and he would pay for my drinks, since there is always money in abortions, especially during wartime.

Alta is basically like a surf break with heavy localism. They are plenty on "quasi rules" that are just the way it is. Just like surfing, you've got a choice...do it their way...or deal with their consequences. In this case the consequences were that Luffski caved like a little bitch. These rules are stupid in surfing and there are stupid in skiing. But what are you gonna do a. follow the herd b. ignore the herd, tell the herd they suck and do it your way c. go somewhere else.

See, this is what makes Alta retarded. In surfing, there's a very specific line-up in most cases where you need to drop in, and time that with the right wave. Alta is on the side of a big fucking mountain where there are infinite lines to take, so a few people getting ahead of you is hardly the same thing. Of course, they probably wouldn't understand this.

So, it has been suggested that I reconcile with ski-McStomper-enforcer dude. Apparently on non-powder days he's a pretty decent guy and long term canyon employee. Guess he has been going through some huge stress in his life lately.

There are people that go through their lives inventing all sorts of shitty stupid pointless rules for the rest of us to live by. Some people find it fulfilling to try and fit in, and to expect other people to fit in, even in ways that do not fucking matter at all. Yes alta is filled with the kind of people that enjoy creating an atmosphere of unwritten rules to govern behavior. These people like created impractical unneeded rules because it gives them a sense of (herd) community with the other sheeple. Even having never surfed, the rules (and reasons for those rules) of surfing always seemed pretty self evident and logical to me. Followed me to work one day and started fucking screaming at me "there are kids going to school on that road!!!!". You wonder what I did to provoke this outburst? Passing on a double yellow, passing on a shoulder, lane splitting, tailgaiting, etc? Nah, I just went over the double yellow in a corner a few feet, not to pass, just to make the corner smoother. No one in the other lane, not a blind corner, and douchebag behind me getting irate because I didn't 'color within the lines'.
