It appears that you have wore out your welcome here at TGR, so perhaps it's time to find a new cyber-home I would like to formally invite you to make a "fresh start" as it were at our ALPINEZONE forums.We are a fun-loving but responsible bunch of skiers, telemarkers and snowboarders who know the benefits of what good and fair moderation brings to an on-line community. It may take a small amount of getting used to, as we do have reasonable standards as far as language and image posting that are strictly enforced. For those that don't know the Wildcat chair at Alta never has a line except on a big POW day. Yesterday patrol got nothing open so everyone was skiing on that side of the area. Widcat, a slow double is right next to a high speed quad is another reason why there is not a line. Wildcat does not have a singles line. That opening is just an easy way to acess the lifts when coming out of Westward Ho and not having to enter the chute. Normally not an issue you ski right on but yesterday there was a line. You certainly cut in, still you don't let somebody ski across your skis.

Wow, now that the video is back up...yeah you deserved worse. The line was huge and all you could say is "ski school is that side, ski school is that side" B.S. You had fair warning, get to the back of the line, but decided to keep moving forward to snake the line. He shouldn't have skied on your skis, he should have shoved them up your ass. If you refuse to abide by the rules, even after being called out and warned should everyone just let you have your dumbass way? I have no problem with people going up and down the line on a double asking for singles to jump in with which you didn't do. Cutting the front of the line when its out the maze on a pow day...no soup for you.

If I'd skied up to that big line and seen pretty much no one feeding in from that side, and then people started giving me the evil eye, I'd suck it up and join the back of the line. It doesn't take balls to yell at someone. It takes balls to admit when you're a goof and make it right.

The guy that freaks out about the line cutting is also a total asshole. Maybe a little conversation like "hey buddy, it's busy today so there is only one line..." Losing your fuckin' mind like that is something a five year old might do. Or not, as five year olds show better self control than that.

Not bothering reading the thread, dont care that much, but FUCK alta is fucking WEIRD.

I have rolled into that line all the time, even when there is a big ass line on the other side. I dont give a fuck. There is no sign there, nothing saying you cant get in that line, but conformist passive aggressive altatude that masquerades as laid back friendly vibe that people claim to love about alta says you have to get in line with all the other sheeple. At any ski area populated by people that arent fucking insane BOTH lines would be full, and it wouldnt cause any issues. Having to skate to the end of the other line when youre coming from uphill and there is absolutly no reason not to jump in the uphill line other than it goes against the sheeple mentality is retarded. It is neither my, nor your fault, that all those people are just too damn obsessed with fitting in to properly utilize the liftlines.

Good job keeping your cool luffski, alta isnt quite the laid back freindly place everyone likes to act like it is, lots of passive aggressive and just outright aggressive douchebags, of all ages. Sure woulda been nice to deck the guy in the face a few times when he was on your skis, he was begging for it and was stupid enough to leave himself defenseless, but you took the high road, props.


Whenever I hear people talk about how much they like the laid back vibe at alta, I swear they are describing bridger bowl.
