I am confused. I am not familiar with this lift, but I can clearly see from the video that there are two entrances open here (and a ski school line).

Why isn't anyone else using the lift entrance on the uphill side? It looks perfectly fine to me. Just because the other people there are too ignorant or lazy to skate over there doesn't mean that it's not available.

I would have done exactly the same thing. Luffski, you're a pussy for not grabbing that guy by the neck and pulling him off the top of your skis.

A couple weeks back.. on busy weeknd I'm driving home on a 4 lane divided highway. Its right around 4 oclock so all the people are leaving the resort. I'm already on the highway. So as I'm approaching the junction where all the resort people are getting on the highway there's a cop who has someone pulled over way up ahead on the right side.

The law here is that if you're in the right lane, you need to slow down to 38 for emergency vehicles and if your in the left lane you can go the speed limit. No big deal right? Pretty simple.

Everyone is all going directley from the merge lane to the left lane and slowing down to like 10-15, completely blocking access to the right lane. No one is in the right lane and traffic is practically moving.

It was completely absurd and fucking retarded... so I stayed in the left lane, let one guy in, then went into the right lane and passed the sheep. Then some copyed me and the retardedness probably ended.

Not bothering reading the thread, dont care that much, but FUCK alta is fucking WEIRD.

I have rolled into that line all the time, even when there is a big ass line on the other side. I dont give a fuck. There is no sign there, nothing saying you cant get in that line, but conformist passive aggressive altatude that masquerades as laid back friendly vibe that people claim to love about alta says you have to get in line with all the other sheeple. At any ski area populated by people that arent fucking insane BOTH lines would be full, and it wouldnt cause any issues. Having to skate to the end of the other line when youre coming from uphill and there is absolutly no reason not to jump in the uphill line other than it goes against the sheeple mentality is retarded. It is neither my, nor your fault, that all those people are just too damn obsessed with fitting in to properly utilize the liftlines.

Good job keeping your cool luffski, alta isnt quite the laid back freindly place everyone likes to act like it is, lots of passive aggressive and just outright aggressive douchebags, of all ages. Sure woulda been nice to deck the guy in the face a few times when he was on your skis, he was begging for it and was stupid enough to leave himself defenseless, but you took the high road, props.

Alta is basically like a surf break with heavy localism. They are plenty on "quasi rules" that are just the way it is. Just like surfing, you've got a choice...do it their way...or deal with their consequences. In this case the consequences were that Luffski caved like a little bitch. These rules are stupid in surfing and there are stupid in skiing. But what are you gonna do a. follow the herd b. ignore the herd, tell the herd they suck and do it your way c. go somewhere else.

the fucking job is awesome because as a guest relationship expert i holler and direct folks not listening to or following the proper protocol. if a guest doesn't wantto take a pack off i let em know, when singles don't partner up on busy days i let em know, when they get sloppy and try to play mean with each other this lift line manager is at the ready to quell the agro, but yet i am always on the ready to load. your clogging the off ramp, well expect to be called out because the job is very fluid and a good GRE(guest relationship expert) is ready to confront trouble anytime the hill needs one.
ski stomping is just one of the maneuvers applied by a productive GRE.
