FYI... THURSDAY Boulder venue change: ECCR 265. Engineering Center Classroom Wing 2nd floor. (next door to the Benson Building-- we'll be there to help you find it)

As per food, I agree that we don't want to ruin our chances of using the church in the future, but if you MUST bring along dinner, I'm not going to tell you can't eat it. Quietly off to the side.

So the other day I'm driving around Denver and I start noticing a little two step vibration and it keeps getting louder and louder and louder until finally it resolved itself into words just as I turned a corner and there outside a little church were thousands of people chanting:

    HACK
    SAW!
    HACK
    SAW!

    Scared the hell outta me.

    I'll be there.

damn texan, that link is taking me to google maps home page.

The Engineering Center is at Colorado Blvd and Regent Drive. If you come in via 36 (28th street through Boulder) turn west at Colorado. The first left is Regent Drive and the E Center is right there.

The guy sitting next to me said it was in the "Buff Bulletin" - an email newsletter sent out to all the students and staff. Still, nice turnout.

    Thanks Hacksaw - great show.

Is there a Powerpoint presentation, video, or something that can be posted for people who can't make it to any of these classes?

Sorry Fritz, no I won't be posting my PowerPoint.

I have worked very long and very hard on developing it. Along with trading lots of photos with other avalanche professionals, who wouldn't be happy with me "giving them away on the web," their photos online, etc... I recently had BACKCOUNRTY magazine "poach," a photo of mine from the CAIC website. My bet is that they won't pay me a cent for the use of my photo.....

And most folks who attended the presentation will tell you, that there was "a lot more info," then what was JUST in the powerpoint. That's why you should attend. Its sort of like the difference between listening to recored muisc Vs. attending a live purformance......

Education at its best is interactive. Just sitting back watching a PowerPoint, isn't as useful as watching one with a live presentor; who'es there to also answer questions for you.

I personally, hated the third grade where the teacher just showed a filmstrip (I'm showing my age here...) and there was no one to answer the questions that I had at the end of the filmstrip.......

I really appreciate all the folks that turned out and attended the presentation. Its a total bummer to stand there and not have anyone show up.....

Its really GREAT to have folks ask questions and come up and ask questions during the break and at the end of the presentation. Thank you for all your kind reviews. They mean a lot and even the "bad reviews," make me work harder at improving my presentations.

    Cheers,
    Halsted
