I think I may have to pass on this one as it is too depressing. Too warm to even make snow now. It was 65 on the mountain today. If Mammoth has any balls and wants to do the right thing they will postpone the opening until a future date. If they still open Thursday, this weekend is going to be fun to watch on the cams.

the NWS forecast for the town says there are chances of rain/snow tuesday through sunday, with highs around 55 degrees.

The official ski report sounds optimistic too. At least you may be able to go over Tioga Pass.

We started making snow on October 29th but unfortunately, warm temperatures have inhibited our snow making capabilities for the last few days.

For anyone planning to be here for opening day, please note that we will have very limited terrain on man-made snow. We plan to have the Broadway Express lift running with skiing on Broadway. Please ski and ride with caution - early season obstacles do exist and there will be limited snow coverage. Also, please note that we will not have any beginner terrain available until further notice.

Colorado is hogging all the goddam snow

...eventhough I have a pass, there are better things to do that are MUCH cheaper by just staying here in SoCal for the w/e...

I will be in PB at Moondoggies for the Ohio State vs. Northwestern game with the rest of the OSU SD Alumni assoc...any other SD mag wanna come on over look me up...
