i talked to 4frnt the other day, ive been 4 told 3 to weeks before my order is ready to ship
i am drunk, 3 to 4 weeks b4 they will ship
How well can these turn? I am 6'3" 185. would I get owned by the trees?
that depends on if you suck or not.
I dont suck. Quite the opposite. But I ski in wa and there are a lot of trees there. I really am stoked on the 193's though, I just want to be sure that I can muscle them through the trees if I have to.
Wow are you guys going as assholes for halloween or something.
I was only asking if someone who had experience skiing these could tell me thier opinion of how well it turned
I think you may want to run a search and see what has already been said about these. I think Particle and I are the only people that have skied them. That being said, I dont plan on skiing a bunch of trees on these. Yes they are easier to ski than other boards I have, but they are not a turny little tree ski by any means. At first glance, I kind of agree with Particle on the "if you have to ask" thing![]()
"I dont hike.... my legs are too heavy"
I really want to get a pair of these, so if anyone has a hook up and wants to help me out that would be great.
Thanks Shane
Zach,
I apologize but I can't give you an exact date. These skis had to be sent back overseas to be repressed and all I have been told is a couple weeks. The best I can tell you is the middle of November. Please know that we are doing everything in our power to get them to you as soon as we can....
Drive slow, homie.
you bought spats, no? you bought into the hype -- you didn't ski them before riding 'em.
the dimensions of the EHP 193 are intriguing, as is their camber (or lack thereof) and flex profile. expecting 4frnt to deliver a product as described is not really 'buying to the hype'. i think it's cool that they are fixing the problem.
sounds like a few shipped before they caught it. for the record, it sounds like mine & Z's never shipped, and all will be fixed before we lay hands on them.
kind of par for the course, esp with some smaller companies. my dps, bros, and ehps are all delayed due to production issues.
i WAS going to let you try 'em when you're in jackson, but now...![]()
i waited a year or two on the spats, and rode them before i bought 'em. but, yeah, i know what you are getting at....
hey, didn't mean to come across so harsh, props for those guys starting their company and trying new designs, etc - its just that i have been around this block before with new gear companys (skis, bikes, surf boards. etc) - and i always got hosed when i stepped up and supported these companies before they got their shit dialed.....so maybe that was my old bitterness coming out.
i look forward to trying those bad boys in JH this winter![]()
point taken. spats were out for a number of years before you got on yours (you first skied them last year or late the prior season, no?)...and even 'production' spats (some) have their problems. pretty much all volant skis had some delam issues. (my spats have been good, and i'm thankful for that.)
anyhoo....the EHP 193 has been skied by folks last year, although it hasn't been a production ski until this year. we'll see what happens. 4frnt has a pretty solid reputation for building decent product. at the price i paid, it was worth the gamble.
no stores in JH carry them; you'll have to go over the pass to idaho!![]()

where are my EHPS damn it FKNA, any one get theirs back yet? i need them NOW!!
Mine arrived and I sent them back for a full refund immediately. Not only were the skis not pressed flat, but there was a 1” size chip out of the sidewall (yup there is wood in there) that someone tried to cover up with epoxy. Long story short, I wasn’t very impressed but let’s hope it was an isolated experience.
