How do you get so out of wack that your athletes are sueing you and deriding you in an article, considering the fact that one guy is this "power CEO of the ski industry" Jesus.

Just goes to show ppl don't know jack shit.

A marketing pic looking like Bode has pre-released a ski is a marketing fail.

The dimples are so cutting edge the skis have a mind of their own.

Benny profane will have a signature model on trough skis.

When Bode was marketing his Crosson skis he hosted a demo day at Big Sky. I didn’t go. I met a guy on the lift who had gone and had purchased [emoji638] pairs of skis. Bode had said that it would be easier to get his widest ski on edge than a narrow racing ski. When I suggested that this defied the laws of physics, he seemed befuddled and then shamed.

In the breathtaking realm of winter sports, an endeavor was born from the ashes of Peak Skis, a once-prominent name in the ski industry. Bode Miller, the celebrated Olympian and innovator, envisioned an extraordinary reinvention: Trough Skis. His ambition extended beyond mere recreation; he was in pursuit of a revolutionary skiing experience.

With the meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of legends, Trough Skis embodied a radical departure from traditional designs. The skis featured a unique dimpled surface—a breakthrough in ski technology—designed to enhance speed, stability, and control. This innovative feature drew the attention of both enthusiasts and serious investors alike.

Bode, understanding the potential impact of his creation, sought to attract vanguard investors to join him in his journey. "We’re offering four for one sale," he announced during an exclusive presentation, underscoring the opportunity that lay before them. The proposal was not merely a financial investment; it was an invitation to partake in the future of skiing.

Amidst the buzz, Miller challenged the affluent and the adventurous: "For the bold ones, have your name on a dimpled ski for a million dollars," he proclaimed, illuminating the allure of legacy and personal branding within this cutting-edge initiative.

Thus, with each dimple crafted with precision, Trough Skis promised to carve a new path in the snowy wilderness, merging tradition with innovation and ensuring that those who ventured forth would experience the thrill of the slopes like never before. As the journey began, it was clear: skiing was not just a sport; it was an adventure waiting to be redefined.

I'd take some Peak 88s for a dollar.
The ai needs to learn to use "dynamic" and "progressive" more.

Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, Andy Wirth and Bode Miller introduce a new ski company - Trough Skis. This revolutionary ski company uses a new game changing technology called Omniflex. Achieved by sprinkling a proprietary blend of carbon dust to titanal, followed by a trip to the gun range where a new improved keyhole is placed via gunshot by a real cowboy based in Montana.

Andy Wirth, CEO, gleefully states "investors should step up to the plate on this one. We are offering shares at the ground floor, and expect those that invest will see a hundred-fold increase in their investment. But wait, that's not all - those that invest over $150,000 get a free hat that will personally signed by Bode Miller. Invest a million and you'll receive a jock strap personally worn by Bode."

Proceeds will be partially used to pay Ski Magazine for strong reviews, to help ensure one of the greatest ski launches in history. Furthermore, $200 will be given to Phil Pugliese for him to proclaim on SkiTalk.com that it's a top ski in its class and well worth the $2,000 price point. The remaining investment proceeds will be used by Andy and Bode for proprietary activity and research, which may or may not include luxury real estate and vacations, and nights on the town, high end escort service, and child support.

Bode Miller states, "while we can't guarantee investment returns, we can guarantee you that Andy and I will enjoy spending it."

Trough Skis, the next revolution in ski technology is here! Step right up, step right up.

If it's endorsed by ski magazine it has to be top quality.

I honestly don’t understand why Parker and JT and anyone in the Tahoe area would have trusted Wirth after his reign with KSL / Squaw and how he conducted himself.

Parker got paid a quarter of her three year deal. How has she not already sued?!

Jonathan talks about this in the pod. Parker and Dav are / were planning to sue but don’t want to rack up a bunch of legal fees only to win and then not get paid because there’s no money there (in a legal sense - it was probably an LLC).

And to sue will cost. Not a few grand a lawyer will want 25 grand to start at least. So you have to pay handsomely for justice. Dav may be dripping in coin the girl probably not.

The podcast was a little disappointing in that they kept talking about the ridiculous line items on the p and l statement and then didn’t give a single example.

Yeah. They said it has been taken down online so I assume they don't have a copy to look at unless they had saved it. Probably being pretty careful to not stray from factoids they can back up if it came to that.

Pretty strong unambiguous wording at the very end of the pod ending any relationship Blister may have had with them going forward unless Peak pays its former athletes.

I'd like to know how much Andy and Bode siphoned our of Peak. They blew through about $10 million and that's with stiffing a lot of people.

It wouldn't surprise me if they each took out $2.5 million plus whatever fringe benefits such as travel they got.

Fuck yeah it was the plan. Those clowns have been pulling this shit for years. It's just that they did it on a bigger scale this time.

And they may have gotten away with it again if they'd have paid Dav and Michelle Parker a little more. I mean a small group of us mags were on to them but otherwise they were getting away with it I think. Only reason dipshits publishing articles said anything is because Dav and Michelle told them when it was clear they were also getting stiffed. And they wouldn't have said anything had they got paid a little more.

Personally I'm disappointed they didn't reach out to us privately to go away for a small bag. Who knows what would have happened then. Some money for some hos and blow goes a long way around here.

Hey, guys - this site is still acting really janky when I'm trying to post, but hopefully this works.... I assumed everyone that would be interested in the P&L doc had already seen it, but here's a link to Peak's whole Form C that they included with their crowdfunding initiative. (And if the link won't work here, it's in the episode shownotes on our website, your podcast app, etc.):
