I am pretty sure that is not it. Trump just thinks that if we have a trade deficit with a country we are being taken advantage of so he is going to punish those countries.

If Trump or Republicans were concerned about the debt they would not be currently trying to pass a bill that cuts tax revenues by $3.8 trillion, and that increases the debt by $2.4 Trillion over 10 years.

Spoiler alert: The train has left the station and nobody wants austerity. Elon realized that DOGE couldn't even make a dent, being compared to literal mass murders, and rage quit.

There is no accountability for the red team or blue team so they will continue to run up the debt to even more unfathomable levels. Nothing stops this train.

Yeah, but you're not insulating yourself from it by investing in BTC. If the US economy crashes, BTC will crash along with it. No other way for it to go down.

Not even Trump could possibly be that stupid. It's a sales tax, intended to raise revenue. The effects will be spread out among the manufacturers, the companies that order production of the goods, the middle men, the retailers, and mostly the consumers. It's a sales tax plain as day.

Elon Musk lied about about there being $2T in waste, fraud, and abuse. Then he went about illegally and unconstitutionally killing oraganisationd and funding (including funding that was keeping people alive and now is not).

Musk is a liar. Stop being a fucking mark.

And since Reagan, one party has been much, much more fiscally responsible than the other.

@yeahman- a crash sure I agree most things, except gold and bullets, will be hit. I don't see a crash of the USD more like a steady weakening. In this case BTC gains more as the USD system gets more leveraged and out of control. Decades and decades.

I would prefer if crypto bros did not get first priority over everyone else if a bank fails:

    (a) IN GENERAL.-In any insolvency proceeding, including any proceeding under title 11, United States Code, or any insolvency proceeding by a primary Federal payment stablecoin regulator or a State banking supervisor with respect to a payment stablecoin issuer, the claim of a person holding payment stablecoins issued by the payment stablecoin issuer shall have priority over all other claims against the payment stablecoin issuer.

I dunno, I just think that a good store of value would not lose 4% because two assholes start posting shit about each other on their personal social media sites....

Yeah, nothing concerning about the theory of Bitcoin being a store of value when the price swings wildly because two dudes are fighting. Gives the impression that the foundation is much strong.

Did the CEO of BTC tell you this is why the price is down today?

Wonder why TSLA started dropping at the same time... ah well, probably just a weird coincidence that should not be considered any further, like, at all. Like not the tinniest bit whatsoever.

Let's say for the sake of argument jong, that you had an entire brain. Where do you think you'd be at in life?

Living in a nice house, in a nice neighborhood, in a nice town, with a wife and kids that I love, and that love me.... Wait, that is how I live right now.

If I did not have even half a brain I may have ended up divorced and living alone in a van. But that is purely hypothetical - I do not have personal experience to say what it is actually like to live without half a brain. Maybe you could share your experiences with us?

Look, it is possible that you do not know how to tell time, or maybe read charts at all, but if you look at PTON vs TSLA and BTC, you will notice that BTC dropped in sync with TSLA, whereas PTON started its drop on opening this morning.

It is not a novel theory to note that asset prices move on news...
