Let's keep borrowing. Let's get to 100 trillion. 200 trillion. I feel like it'll be good for the grandchildren.

Borrowing has nothing to do with Dollars or Bitcoins?

Congress can choose to not balance their budget regardless of what their unit of account is.

The downside of a fixed money supply is the depressions it leads to.

Trump dines with top meme coin holders, dismissing concerns that he’s profiting from presidency White House officials have argued the dinner poses no conflict of interest because the president's assets are in a blind trust managed by his adult sons.
You cannot make this shit up. Crypto, helping sell America down the river 1 meme coin at a time. Fuckers got what they paid for....

Nicholas Pinto, a 25-year-old social media influencer, accumulated more than $360,000 in President Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency to attend an with the commander-in-chief. The food, though, was forgettable. Trash, Pinto texted Fortune during the banquet. “Walmart steak, man. The menu included a “Trump organic field green salad and an entrée duet of filet mignon and pan-seared halibut was some of the worst food that they ever had, said Pinto after the meal.

But the real draw of the evening, of course, wasn’t steak or halibut. It was Trump himself. The top 220 holders of his memecoin were promised an exclusive evening with the 47th president in what critics have called one of the most blatant pay-for-access schemes in presidential history.

In total, investors bought up $148 million of the cryptocurrency to attend the dinner, according to crypto analytics firmhttps://x.com/inca_digital/status/1921969909451382940"] Inca Digital[/URL]. The President is working to secure GOOD deals for the American people, not for himself, said White House spokesperson Anna Kelly in a statement.

I don't like Trump coin any more than you do. If only we could get back to the good old days of Shillary giving closed door speeches to all of Wall Street and refusing to release the transcripts when pressed.

Giving paid speeches while a private citizen is not in any way the same type of corruption as using the office of the Presidency to solicit bribes. Not even in the same universe.

And the sums of money involved are orders of magnitude apart.

Hope that helps.

The TRump Admin goes on and on about Waste, Fraud and Abuse, like they are the only one against such things. Yeah, the Bush family, the Clinton Family and the Obama family, all made a fair chunk of change leveraging their time in the WH. But they were actually not trying to actively destroy our economy and our system of Government. One is not remotely close to the other.

What Clinton did did not break any laws. Nor did it break any ethics guidelines, BECAUSE SHE WAS A PRIVATE CITIZEN AT THE TIME.

People who did not like it were able to not vote for her.

This is not very fucking hard.

No I am most assuredly not a TRump supporter. And here I thought you didn't do nuance.

I hope you and the rest who have money in Crypto make your fortune or at least a decent ROI, as much I hope that in 3.75 years we still have something resembling a country because right now what is happening is not reassuring in the least.

Were things more than a little fucked up before TRump ever came down the escalator? Oh yes.

The shit that is going on every day makes the GWOT and the crash of 08 seem pale in comparison. We are about to tack another 5 Trillion on to the debt all to lower tax rates for a bunch of people who don't deserve another tax cut.

For people who believe in Crypto in general and BTC in particular, I would think you would be alarmed by the obvious grift and manipulation of your chosen form of investment by the current POTUS. No matter whose fault it is that he was elected. But maybe that is just me.

Fair point. BTC is independent of all other attempts at coins.

Re Trump: at least he's in your face about the grift. Always has been. Doesn't make it ethical at all but trump and ethical is like oil and vinegar.

Also, we can all cry about meme coins and scams, but personal responsibility is a thing. If someone wants to choose to gamble, that is their decision.

100% agree, whether it is day trading, options or betting on baseball through Fan Duel and as long as none one is asked to bail anone out, ever again.

As for Trump and the at least part.... I still have not seen any evidence presented that showed any corruption that lead directly to Joe Biden. Comer and Jordan talked a lot of shit and then? Bupkus.

I will probably be moving in the next 5 years but Cali isn't on the bingo card. Maybe you can buy my house with all your BTC winnings.

Appreciate it. But lately I'm viewing property as an anchor. I've been unencumbered for so long makes it hard to want to own again. Once my place sells back east I may do a cabin, also can see many yrs of full time rv living.

Where are you going bunion? Doesn't get more cost effective than MT
