Uh, so what’s the word from TGR HQ? Been some on and off issues over the past week, and I’m interested to know where things stand with the advertised forum changes.

Looking back on the original post, you mentioned it’d be a [emoji640] to [emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]] month process. Fair enough, but we are approaching the [emoji638] month mark. Far as I can tell, there hasn’t been much communication since the start of Feb?

504 Gateway errors and then the site may load, but any of the threads attempted to access result in a 502 Gateway error and so as others are asking, any decisions being made?? 2 or more days of errors, and the long list of other issues would make decisions I would hope increase in priorities by the powers to be.

Look at it from their perspective. We aren’t the business. They had a limited side forum that exploded after the powder mag destruction.
Sadly for decades no one tried to monetize the forum. No subscriptions. No fund drives. Just a few merch sales every now and then.
Kai is obviously the future of the film business. But even that has changed. Who buys dvds or goes to premieres or pays to stream a ski movie when insta has endless content. Not to mention Kai isn’t the dying boomer ski bum that populates the forum. This place is toast. But it’s been fun.

All that said it would be cool to crowd fund a resuscitation of an independent forum that covers expenses. And buys a few box fans. Many times the idea of a fundraiser has been proposed. Maggots in IT have offered to help.

This is seriously a fucked up way to treat dedicated TGR enthusiasts and supporters. I've seen every movie, bought many DVDs, merch, stickers...

TGR decided to welcome this community. A community so dedicated it even offered to pay for the fixes. IF TGR doesn't want this, then say so and let us leave in an organized fashion instead of trying to kill the community through conscious neglect.

And remember a lot of people hated and didn't buy Powder Magazine for years because of what they did to the forum community that TGR then welcomed and the community then supported TGR.
