Anecdotal experience is anecdotal, eh? My last order took them [emoji637][emoji639] days to ship. I got it a week after that. There was a holiday in there, so I wasn’t fired up at all, but [emoji637][emoji639] days from order to ship felt excessive. Or at least leisurely.

Like I said, I’d order from them again.

I tried one on the other day and tbh it was on par with most zero cushion ski socks. A touch thicker maybe, but easily the thinnest I've tried on.

Anyone know if you can convert the "anatomic" hotronic XLP footbeds into the custom version? In other words, can you easily remove the heating element from the footbed? This was easy in the old S series.

I ask because there's good deals on the anatomic version from bobleisure.

Anyone have experience with the thermic set heat kit one thousand seven hundred? One of my sets of sFour batteries died. Figure I can get through this year with my other set, but I can’t get caught out as heated insoles are essential to my ski day. The thermic is substantially cheaper than the new hotronics xlp.

Just ordered the Lenz 5.1 slim fit from SnowInn and the 2000 Lithium battery pack from Temasport. That seemed to be the only way to get the size I wanted with the right battery pack. Low stock all around. Hopefully the 5.1’s aren’t too thick. Total was $248 shipped and I’ll try to update on shipping time.

Welp, that didn’t work. Got a notification this morning that Tesmasport won’t ship the battery separately, so my order was cancelled. It said they would ship the battery if it was part of a sock bundle. So I may have to order a sock too small or large from them to get the battery. Anyone need a Medium or XL 5.1 slim fit sock only?

Yeah, according to them, ordering both together is fine. I ended up buying a 1200 battery from Whatsupdoc in gear swap. So I&#39;ll be about 175 all in, may be the cheapest way to test the waters and see if works for me.</p>

Can someone explain to my dumbass what the thickness differences really are between the various lenz socks out there? The US prices are absurd but I don't want to order something from Slovenia if the thickness or fit won't work

Socks and batteries arrived! Total time from Slovenia to Colorado was something like 3 1/2 weeks.</p>

I also had good luck with getting Lenz socks Tesmasport - took 2-3 weeks but everything was perfect.

Re thickness, the 6.1 feels slightly thicker than the thinnest Smartwool ski socks, which are my normal go-tos. You notice the extra thickness in the toe box (heating element is there) more than elsewhere on the foot.

Overall im pretty pleased with them - allows me to stay out much longer in seriously cold temps than before. I also use a boot glove to go full dork. But the combo works

My first gen Lenz batteries died early and my 6.1's developed a hole after 10-15 days, even though I was really careful putting on and off.

I forgot to turn them on today.

My heated boots and gloves are easily some of the highest value gear I own. Obviously, boots and A pair of skis and A jacket and A pair of snow pants and normal insulation and a helmet and goggles is mission critical, but of all the not truly “mission critical” gear I own, they’re at the top. Above any second pair of skis. Above high-end goretex vs cheap outerwear, etc.

Today I skied for 6 straight hours in single digit and near single digit temps, the snow was fantastic, and at no point was I particularly cold or uncomfortable.

While that may be unremarkable for some and I know many just always have warm hands and feet, for me it’s a revelation. And judging by the amount of time others spent inside on an otherwise great day, I’m not that far outside the norm. Translates directly into skiing more and longer and I don’t have much in my kit that does so so directly.

So, you should try zzz’s stuff if your toes get cold and stuff.

I have had it for half a season, and am reasonably happy with it. Fairly bulky, so not sure if it would work as a carry-on. It has a 120V plug, as well as a 12V cigarette lighter adapter. They won&#39;t ship to CA, because of the new PFAS laws, but if you live elsewhere or have friends in a state like NV where they do not value human life, it is a good deal. I have the 1300. They kick ass. Last multiple short ski days and easily through a long one - but I&#39;m not really ever turning the heat up plast 6 on the 10 point scale. The bluetooth, which I thought was not really gonna be useful, is terrific. As is the ability to pause them. I can turn them on the lowest setting, pause them, throw them in the back of a buddys truck, and turn them on from the cab 20 minutes from the parking lot. Turn up the heat a bit then too and they are ready to put on when I get there. Great stuff. As for the extremeties thing, my hands and feet are always warm, but my boots are close to race fit so even though my hands never need warmers, even below zero, my feet car still get cold with super thin socks, very tight liners and super tight shells. Battieries fix it - and also mean less unbuckling at the bottom of each run. Mostly jsut unbcukle the foto buckles and leave the uper buckles tight.
