That was great to see - all the crumb snatchers tearing up an awesome powder day.

Yeah, despite the lack of snow Whitefish has stayed cold and the groomers have been in prime condition. Not getting melt+refreeze and staying firm but grippy. Feels very European. They have been running the winch cat daily so there are steeper groomers running pretty clean on the front side rather than just sitting there as nasty mank. Glad I bought some new piste skis!

Showdown was like Brodown with all the Bozeman/Big Sky folks for race day. Funny demographic. Showdown skiers wear Kansas City Chiefs jerseys skiing and the Bozeman crown stands out with their Bro-stashes and fancy trucks.

Sunshine, windbuff, friends, and huge air. Pretty sure that’s as good as it gets.

Everyone should post more shit. Let’s keep this place going for my homie Tone Capone.

I successfully skied over lots of rocks. Skis are battered. I was warned bout Montana. Great couple days though.

    Nice pics.

A couple days ago I got my worst core shot of the year at Great Divide, of all places. I actually took it to a shop to have it fixed.

I don’t come to this corner of the mountain as often as I used to. Has turned into a good stash though, so that’s nice.

Totally different tack, anyone have a spare Thule rack attacher mount they can part with? I bought a ski rack on a “deal”, I guess the deal maker was only having 3/4 working mounts (the 4th is missing the main screw on top, and I haven’t been able to figure out a repair). Name your price, TIA

It's funny. With all the good coverage I've gotten more core shots than ever this season because we keep venturing into shit that is rarely skied. Lots of 2ft of blower on zero base on the south side this year. Fuck around and find out. Still worth it. Most of swimmy's deep photos of me this year my skis are gliding directly on sharks.

Kid woke up with a cold, we called him in sick and went to Bridger. Kinda wind buff mixed with firm. Couple laps on ridge and stayed low rest of day. Still fun.

Tranceiver antenna's signal strength do degrade over time. Should be replaced every 5-7 years. Some manufacturers will test them for you and give you a discount to buy a new one.

    Yeah I know.

Seems ok testing with my three antenna though. And…skiing moguls on the ridge isn’t super compatible with getting buried.

If I had any concerns for avy potential I wouldn’t be there with my kid.

Shred Bridger with your kids. That place is made for 150cm skis. Ha.

Any longer and the tips would catch on whatever rock/branch/root was jutting out the entrance.

Lucked out with nearly all of March off. Trying to work out an itinerary involving RED, KH, Schweitzer, whitefish, and northern UT. Coming from Oregon. Mostly resort skiing and sleeping in lots. Will be solo with touring gear for logging road skinning. Interested in small spots to check out along the way. Looks to be a fair number of small mom and pop outfits tucked in the hills out there. Anybody care to recommend some spots to spend some time on the cheap? Thanks!

^^^ Turner is just outside of libby, between schweitzer and whitefish. Fun hill with 2k feet of good fall line vert and some beautifully gladed trees. Only open Friday - Sunday, and it's a bit low, so snow quality can be questionable. If schweitzer / whitefish are good top to bottom, Turner is probably fine.

x2 on Turner. Watch the weather and hit it if staying cold and >6" of snow during the week. Even if just the upper half of mountain has powder, I think worth it. Burgers are really good too.
