That program is/will be more relevant than many think. It's not about the front line or mainstream media projection sentiment.

Further evidence has emerged that Russia did in fact offer bounties to kill American and coalition troops in Afghanistan:

"The GRU, Russia’s military intelligence agency, spent years financing terrorist groups in Afghanistan to target U.S. and coalition forces. An investigation by The Insider has not only confirmed the existence of the program but also identified GRU officers responsible for its coordination. The Russian intelligence agency used a gemstone trading company as a front to run a network of Afghan couriers who delivered money to Taliban fighters and other militant groups. Once their missions were completed, the couriers were provided with Russian documents and granted asylum in Russia."

So the us spent 160 BILLION so far on Ukraine, for nothing, as they are going to lose anyway. And they could have gotten the same deal in early 22 as they might get today.

Imagine what 160 billion could do for Fighting forest fires in the us.

There was no "deal" in 2022. That talking has been debunked repeatedly throughout this thread. Also, the majority of aid appropriated for Ukraine's defense has gone towards bolstering America's industrial capabilities. The best kept secret about Ukraine aid is most of the money stays in the U.S.A..

Russia started this war so Russia must pay the price for it. Russian frozen assets should be used to arm and rebuild Ukraine

Yep. Russia's time on this planet is expired like a carton of rotten eggs. They need civilized government. Maybe more.

The money stays here and prepares us to support/fight Russia or China.
Also much of the "money" is just a valuation of old equipment that was sitting that we give away, actually saving us from having to maintain and clearing the way for new stuff for us needed to keep up with a modernized China.

The whole money argument/justification is retarded. Pay to play. Why the fuck save money to fight Russia when we can spend the money now and fucking kill the motherfuckers.

Ukraine is not going to win. It's not only about the money, but also a lot of Ukrainiens are going to die.

Of course, this doesn't matter to you, but it does to me.

Rod has spent the past several years calling for more Ukrainians to be killed by Russia, deny Russian atrocities, and repeating every Putin talking point under the sun. Now he's concerned about Ukrainians.

Sure, Rod. Everyone knows what you're really concerned about is new wide-ranging sanctions on Russian oil

That's bullshit and I'm disappointed that you spread it.

I always lamented to killing, both Ukrainiens and Russians. I trace this to the money that's being spent on weapons and ultimately influencing the president and the Congress.

And of course lining up the pockets of zelensky and his cronies

He sent Russia money and they put it in their war machine. Whether he thinks he'll get it back if they "win" or just needs to feel consistent in his stupidity is unclear. But also kind of immaterial.

That shows your ignorance. When i bought the stock, the money goes to whoever sold it to me, not to gazprom.

The only time the money will go to them is if the have a public offering to do more stock

Rod consults Russian tank of the lake for wisdom. Just a few more kilometers to Kyiv then Ukraine will surely fall, "Ukraine is not going to win" says the tank

I think that we will have a negotiated peace between Russia and the US.
Probably Russia will keep some territory, and Ukraine will give up the dreams of joining nato.

Russia’s war economy is a house of cards:

"Putin, in short, does not have time on his side. He sits on a ticking financial time bomb of his own making. The key for Ukraine’s friends is to deny him the one thing that would defuse it: greater access to external funds."

    https://www.ft.com/content/61adaed4-...6-b3ad648c58ad

Putin and Putin's propaganda machine want people to think Ukraine is on the verge of collapse while time on Russia's side. It's not. They want people to think Ukraine can't win. Ukraine can win.

Russia's failing public finances and runaway inflation are increasing the chances of a sudden collapse of power. That's what Putin fears most. The West's and Trump's strongest hand is to convince Putin that he has to choose between fighting in Ukraine or losing power at home
