But notice how much more media coverage, fear mongering, and shade throwing the CEO killing generated. Luigi is a "domestic terrorist" who "assassinated" an innocent man in cold blood. And all the plebs who celebrate it should be ashamed of themselves. Think of the shareholders!

If only one kid out of the abundance was killed by an adult shooter, the story would barely go beyond the local news.

The child-to-CEO exchange rate is way too high.

New York State is considering setting up a hotline for CEO’s who are anxious for Christ sake!

New York state is considering creating a special hotline exclusively for CEOs to report perceived threats, CNN reported this morning. Nice little reminder of just how responsive government can be when it comes to corporate executives.“

CEOs getting gunned down in the streets is still a novelty. Give it time.

Maybe the kids can get a special hotline. Reportedly there has been 83 school shootings in the US in 2024.

A 2nd grader called police during the last one, we don't want to waste any more public funds on safety. Let the parents provide the phones. (cynical response)

Wait, this 15yr old pictured is shooting trap at a range. What's wrong with that?

The kids who are obviously into hunting or competition shooting are not the problem. That girl obviously has taken up trap as a healthy hobby. The problem are the kids who have antisocial mental health problems and dumbass parents who are either too checked out, or too lazy to treat firearm security more seriously than they treat the security of their car keys at home.

If the kid is into guns enough to make a hobby out of it, like the girl pictured above, that likely means the parents are spending lots of time and $$ to help her pursue that hobby. That means involved parents who are almost certainly responsible people, and tuned into their kids life.

The problem is being an absentee parent who takes the depressed/antisocial kid shooting a couple time per year to cheer them up and maybe get them interested in something "cool". Having no real idea whats going on with your kid, but training them just enough to be able to find and operate the firearm effectively, but not spending nearly enough time with them on training to actually gain any insight into how the kid is doing.

^^^exactly, so I'm not sure how that pic represents irresponsible gun use in a minor.
