I really really really hope Tyson destroys Jake Paul, but lately it seems like my (old) way of thinking is on the way out.

The Bitcoin Bros are winning, the billionares are winning (as always), and MAGA is winning BIG TIME. Can we just get one tiny influencer beatdown right now? Please?

I have Netflix but don't care enough to watch this live. If Tyson lands some good shots, I'll enjoy watching the gifs

    Amen.

Never heard of Jake until I watched the Netflix show about the fight. Cocky dude needs a Tyson uppercut to the jaw.

Tyson will go stiff, defenseless, and the fight will be stopped.*

Inclined to agree here. Tyson is 58. Paul is an insufferable douche but he's won some legit fights.

    He has?

That's exactly the opposite to what I've been reading. A bunch of youtubers and washed up MMA fighters and he got beaten by the one professional (journeyman) boxer he's fought.

But that pro boxer would beat Tyson too, right?

    Probably not?

Just watched some of that Tommy Fury/Paul fight.

I guess the term "professional boxer" isn't worth what it used to be.

    For reference, four years ago...

Tyson vs. Paul fight sanctioned fight rules

The fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and includes several significant conditions.

Both fighters will wear 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce gloves typically used by heavyweight fighters. These conditions are significant as they will influence the pace and strategy of the fight.

Additionally, each round will last two minutes rather than the usual three minutes, and the fight will consist of eight rounds instead of the standard 10 or 12.

Yea, from everything I've seen and read Paul isn't really a boxer. He's an E-personality that makes a living off of hyping up fights against unqualified boxers. This is just another one of those. Mike is 58 FFS.

Win win for Jake. Even if he gets his jaw broken in 1000 pieces, well, it is Mike Fucking Tyson after all.

While he hasn't exactly teed off with Floyd Mayweather, the MMA guys just have to be way beyond a Mike Tyson who's almost old enough to be collecting Social Security. Don't me wrong, I'd love nothing more than to see Mike rearrange the shit out of his face.

Always thought of it as a lose lose for Jake.

He either gets his ass beaten by an old man, or beats up an old man.

    They both win monetarily, though.

It will be a very nice payday for both of them. Iron mike still hits hard (according to Roy Jones Jr) as of 4 years ago... but the age and bodily abuse he has incurred over the decades is obvious and it really shouldnt be that competitive of a fight. Jake Paul isnt a top heavyweight contender by any means, but he is no slouch by professional boxer standards either. People want to shit on him because he isnt a world title contender as if that is the standard of "good" instead of "great".

they are fighting in 14oz gloves instead of the normal 10oz. This means that there is more padding so the punches dont land as heavily and they arent being thrown as fast, but also they will tire more quickly (advantage paul?). It lessens the chances of a 1 punch knockout 10 seconds into the fight. But, the rounds are also 2 mins instead of 3 minutes so they can push the action a little more each round (advantage tyson?)

I will probably watch. But only cause its free to me.
