The two fights before the main spectacle were fantastic…

Yeah, a pair of good fights bracketed by social media spectacle. Welcome to the future: more people watched a social media influencer box against a 58-year-old Tyson than watched the final of the World Series, NBA Finals or Wimbledon

Speaking of fighting if you haven't checked out Dakota Ditcheva yet she's fun to watch.

    Yes.

Remember back in the day someone had to buy this for like $60 and then you’d give your buddy cash to sit and watch some hyped up fight last 1 minute.

Certainly is! Maybe she can fight Jake Paul next time.

Which is why we got this as soon as the Friday Night Fiasco was over.

I'd say "unbelievable", but the public has shown repeatedly it has a propensity to forgive and, especially, forget.

    Give it a year.

It's a goddamn outage that Tyson took home $20M to Paul's $40M. How many people gave a shit about watching Paul's last fight?

Mike in the first 30 seconds looked dangerous. Mike during the rest was painful to watch.

I didn't watch the figtht, but from what I've heard, it went about how I expected.

I'd also say tyson probably felt confident he could at least protect himself, and not get the crap beaten out of him. From what I've heard, thats about how it went. Tyson had no motivation to take any real risks, and from what I hear, paul won on points, but didn't really hurt tyson.

Similar to connor and mayweather, some people said 'staged' afterwards, but really, it doesn't need to be staged, its just not a fight that had that much motivation to risk anything, the payday was assured, why get beat?

Jake Paul was smart enough to know that nobody wants to see an old man get humiliated. He played it exactly right for the future of his brand.

Honestly, for me, the best moment was Tyson walking out alone after Paul's over-the-top entrance. That was unexpected but oddly symbolic.

Wonder what would have happened if the boxers were getting a $100k appearance fee with a $60 million purse for the winner

Interesting if either of them would have even showed up with those terms?

I don't know if Paul would have gotten in the ring if Mike was wearing 10 oz gloves and allowed to throw upper cuts.

I don't know if Mike would have gotten in the ring without guaranteed real money especially if they have gone to 12 rounds 3 minutes a piece.

I was pretty excited to watch this fight. It turned out to be what we should have expected. Two guys who really like each other fighting in training gloves so no one can get hurt.
