I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I have about a 9'x9'x3' wall space for bikes and skis. After spending some beers and time with a tape measure, I'm think of a combo of something like this (will probably make something vs one up) with something like ski grabbers behind it. Looking at 5-6 bikes and 14ish pair of skis. Any thoughts or want to trouble shoot it?
I like the idea of something similar to the pucks but the bindings might stick out too far and cause some issues with depth. And the grabbers give height adjustment of where the bindings are vertically. Do grabbers suck? The lumber racks look sweet but I have too much shit that I don't want to get rid of and don't have wall space for both.
In my case, can be pretty dang hot.
They're up high in my uninsulated garage.
Portland doesn't get _that_ hot in the summer, though we did have a 117F day a couple of years ago. (That was freeking crazy!)
As @yahman says - I might be too much of a gaper to notice, but having actually bent a pair of skis (back into shape) intentionally, I'm not worried about a hot garage and mis-shaped skis. (People have worried the same about hanging from the tips.) It takes a LOT of heat and a LOT of force to bend a ski. Even with a scalding hot garage, the body weight of the ski seem like super, super unlikely causes of ski deformation.
Did this today, might need some adjustment, but basically used junior size hockey pucks for the bindings' toe pieces. Also will add another board so the tails don't hit the wall.

Check to make sure the rear bindings don’t hit the wall. They chew up the drywall so another board might be good there too.
Nice Paul Kenny's sticker on the Nordica skis! I worked there from '95-'98 when they were still in Warm Springs.
edit: and the Subshack sticker! Johnny G. worked at the short-lived PK's snowboard shop, The Wicked Pickle, also in Warm Springs before he opened the Subshack...
Fixed!
Also slaughtered my old Cochises, took the tech toe blocks.
