    Accurate again.

IIRC those Escort GTs were some pretty fun rally cars to toss around.

How bad is the mismanagement when a name like Recaro files for bankruptcy.

A private equity firm bought Recaro a few years ago. I assume they loaded them up on debt while paying themselves massive salaries.

Yeah, sorry. When I see ‘Detroit’ I immediately think of the big three, one of which is now Italian…

Boy, the used car values have really come back down to about where they should be. It's time to start considering whether to repair or replace an older car again like it used to be.

I saw that thing all over the place on the salt and in Wendover. Atypical. Pretty good conditions for speed. Our crew's goal was the 300 record, but topped out for the week at 237 mph in 3rd (lost 4th & 5th gears). Broken car. Still fun and always interesting.

I ran the numbers once for a finance class. If you're typically the kind of person who buys a car and runs it for 10 to 20 years, then yes, you're gettin hosed. If you buy a new car semi frequently, say 5 or 6 years, the lease might pencil out.
