This lady, who doubles as my mother in law, turned 91 today. She came here from Ireland sixty something years ago with nothing and got married and had a rather large family. Her husband was a successful accountant in NYC and all of her children are successful professionals (some retired). She ruled with an iron fist and gave that up ten years ago. She is a grandmother, great grand mother, and surrogate mom and grand mother to many. She has adopted lots of folks of the Irish diaspora as her own and is a legend within the Irish community in New Jersey. I had the pleasure of cooking her birthday supper today and celebrating the mile stone. Every day is a mile stone at 91, or so I have heard. Name: IMG_6008.jpeg

Didn't work. I ran them through AI and got Saddam Hussein, Ronald Reagan, and Beyonce.

Sitting in the lobby of the auto shop, lady in her 60s comes in with a tote of gear from her car that she didn't want to leave in it. It's full of pink boxing gloves and pads. I was curious so I asked if she was a boxer, expecting the answer to be she's in a boxercise class or something. She's like yes, more of a kick boxer and I've been a Boxing USA coach for 20 years. She started kick boxing and Muay Thai in her 20s. She left while saying "all women should be in martial arts!" It's always impressive and humbling to me to meet these total badasses among us that look so normal. I bet she'd snap my neck if she wanted to.

Best advice is to not fuck with anybody. You never know what you are locking horns with.

The people in Venezuela impress today. They're fed up with Maduro and his unlikely win in Venezuela’s election. Wishing them success. May the dictator step down peacefully.

I hope they take their country back. I know lots of good people from Venezuela that want to go home and just live their lives.

Seems like a reasonable response to people trying to kill you with their bare hands.

Scammers are getting kind of intense. I got this via text message. The link looks almost legit…almost.
U.S. Customs: You have a USPS parcel being cleared, due to the detection of an invalid zip code address, the parcel can not be cleared, the parcel is temporarily detained, please confirm the zip code address information in the link within 24 hours.

(Please reply with a Y, then exit the text message and open it again to activate the link, or copy the link into your Safari browser and open it)

The US Postal team wishes you a wonderful day!
One of the better ones I’ve seen. Wonder why they bothered to say “your Safari browser” which is the one I use most of the time.

The fitness level of the little old ladies in the aqua fitness classes I have been going to. Never underestimate the fitness of a little old lady. Damn good workouts as part of my self-guided rehab.
