Same, never clicked a thread so quickly.

Now I feel like someone owes me socks after seeing that contraption and watching Toms awful interview where he struggled to say anything normal about the product.

I think you’re all missing out on the promise of cross-compatible ski/MTB tech, which is why next week I’m announcing my new business selling steel edged tires and three pin bike shoes

    lol. Well played.

Interesting marketing strategy—‘let’s do a slo mo video so that customers can see that the shocks ain’t doing shit’.

I had actually assumed it was a left over April Fool's joke. It looks like they're serious. If so, it's mind blowing. I think Shoresy can sum it up best.

OTOH…there might be hella rebound when you unweight a ski with that gigantic leaf spring attached.

Shredshox reminds me of Envy ski boots

    Maybe the companies should merge
Bold of you to assume whoever buys this has skis that long.

Thats a strange vid. The skier looks like a backseat gaper who can’t turn a ski.

    Was this filmed at DV?

Anyone make a Dyna/Shox plate or should I just do inserts? Leaning inserts for stack height.

So has Volkl sued these guys yet for using their skis in their marketing? Because I'd be irate if I was the head of Volkl's marketing.

And didn't Derbyflex accomplish this 35 years ago? I remember watching downhill racers in course, tumbling, and watching their skis break in front of and behind the derbyflex plates that still managed to stay on the racer's feet. Wasn't Derbyflex just a giant rubber block under an aluminum plate... all overly engineered and mounted to the ski with insanely heavy-duty screws?

We are excited to announce that we have closed the demo requests for the ShredShox Season Demo Program. We had an overwhelming response, with over 350 applicants from around the world eager to ride the ShredShox and be an integral part of the latest innovation in Alpine Skiing. We want to thank everyone who applied for their interest and enthusiasm. Our team is currently reviewing all the applications to select the participants who will join us in testing and providing valuable feedback on our groundbreaking product.
As a starting point, here is what we will be asking of our demo riders:
    ShredShox Season Demo Program Details:

    • Mountain Days: Participants must conduct at least 10 mountain days testing the ShredShox product. These days should cover a variety of conditions and terrains to provide comprehensive feedback.
    • Daily Questionnaire: Participants are required to complete a daily questionnaire provided by ShredShox. This will capture detailed insights into the product's performance, comfort, and any issues encountered during use.
    • Scheduled Phone Calls: Participants must hold at least four phone calls with the ShredShox team to discuss the product. These calls will help address any immediate concerns and provide deeper insights into the user experience.
    • Photos and Videos: Participants must take photos and videos throughout the project. Visual documentation is crucial for analyzing product performance and capturing user experiences.
    • Confidentiality Agreement: Participants must understand the importance of confidentiality. The primary role of the demo program is product development, not promotion. Participants must not share details about the product outside the scope of the program without explicit permission from ShredShox.
    • ShredShox Rights: ShredShox will have the right to feature demo riders in promotions, marketing, and social media. Participants must agree to allow ShredShox to use the photos and videos taken during the demo period for these purposes.

Stay tuned for more updates and announcements as we move forward with this exciting journey. We are committed to bringing you the best in alpine skiing technology and can't wait to share more about the ShredShox.
Thank you for your support and interest in ShredShox.
    Best regards,
    ShredShox Team”

I do love how in that video you see the addon suspension do absolutely nothing while the ski absorbs small changes in the trail surface. Ya know, like it's supposed to/is designed to.
What's next, some kind of spring in the binding? Wouldn't that be amazing.
