Seems like I’m being quoted $250 each way for shipping skis to Japan.
I’ve flown with them 4x and I’m over it.
Using the site shipskis.com, and see similar rates elsewhere.
Anybody know of other reliable options? Should I consider USPS?

I packaged skis to ship to a mag in canada, USPS office wouldn't accept them, too large. He created a USPS label via his work and I just dropped them off with no issue, UPS franchise store said it would be ~200+ from SLC to Vancouver. ymmv.

I’m seeing $117 for UPS Worldwide Expedited via Pirateship for one pair of skis+poles in a cardboard ski box (20lbs, 76x6x6”). What exactly are you trying to ship?

can you take as luggage from US/CND to JP and then black cat from airport to ski area?
