The existential dread of living with a constant 80db+ drone created by thousands of machines buzzing away producing nothing but speculative ‘value’ is nightmare fodder.

Speaking of drones, there are plenty of them hovering all over the brown people of the world and paid for by money printed out of thin air. The current system is so bad we now get to choose between an obviously senile and decrepit old fuck and a sociopath to run the country. Meanwhile a bunch of kleptocrats loot the world's wealth and stuff their pockets while fires spread throughout the empire and the most vulnerable suffer from crippling inflation. This is the real nightmare fodder you speak of. Removing the ability of corrupt governments to control the money is the solution, not the problem.

The Krugmeister with impeccable timing. Dude is getting heavily ratioed in the comments by NYT subscribers, who are likely some of the bluest of the blue. When Paul can't even pull the wool over their eyes, you know people are struggling. It's certainly a long way down from the top of his ivory tower.

The war machine has largely pivoted and is now the US is subsidizing the war in Ukraine and facilitating genocide in Gaza. I don't think I'd count this as a win, dude.

This is the top comment of the Readers Picks, "This is so tiresome seeing the same points being put forth again and again. How about this for a concept? "The Economy" doesn't work for most people, because essentials for a good life are too expensive and difficult to get. I'm talking about housing, healthcare, education, and childcare. Everything that is required for a good standard of living is increasingly out of reach for people. These critical sectors of our economy are leeching money out of people. When people feel like they can't afford to have a good future and can't afford to have children, the economy feels bad. It doesn't matter if you're fully employed. We're all one misstep away from ruin in this country. Better be perfect in every way or else your life will be in tatters."

Like I said, this isn't Fox news. The NYT reader base is well to the left of center and also more affluent than the median home. This is the end result of the fiat system where a small minority gets to steal from the masses via inflation.

“The economy doesn’t work for most people” yet when asked 2/3 say it’s working for them personally. Interesting.

And you’re the one who brought up drones specifically. It was Biden and/or Biden appointees who ended the drone war, so he gets the credit.

Edit: Biden signed a policy mandating that he personally has to approve drone strikes, but sure, he deserves no credit.

    https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/07/polit...les/index.html

Biden had quietly put in place many of the limitations that the new policy now formalizes when he took office. The policy now officially reverses a loosening of Obama-era rules under then-President Donald Trump, which had pushed authority for approving lethal strikes down the chain of command.”

It's all about the money fro. The sooner you get that, the more you'll realize I'm right and that we need to separate money from the state. Do you honestly think Operation Iraqi Freedom had anything to do with freedom, or the well-being of the Iraqis? Hint: It did not.

Thanks for the hint. No one realized it wasn’t about freedom until you pointed it out just now in 2024. Mind blown.

So why is Ross Ulbricht serving back to back life sentences and George W. Bush getting bear hugs from Michelle Obama?

It’s an interesting but not all that surprising window into your personality that you believe you’re now exposing the truth about Iraqi Freedom to mags…in 2024…

Next you’ll be telling us that Santa Claus isn’t real! Yeah right - who gives me these presents then huh? Checkmate.

There are many examples, the Iraq War is just one of the most egregious. Most people can grok that the Iraq War was sold under a false premise. However, what many people overlook is that the fiat money system largely enabled the warmongers to finance the war through debt in a way that obscured its true cost. So the public gets saddled with a huge amount of debt while private corporations make obscene amounts of money. And of course many innocent people die during the process. But hey, it's all good because you dudes are locked in on 2.8% mortgages with some new DPS Pagoda's and IKON passes!

I don’t agree that fiat is what has enabled wars, but defense is like 13% of the federal budget, so why is it wars you think fiat is enabling through deficits rather than the other 87% - things like Medicare, Medicaid, income security, Social Security, education, etc.?

Concern trolling about DPS skis and IKON passes while you yourself vacation in Hawaii and go on international ski trips is like the Davos set flying private to warn about climate change. You can always tell who the real Nazis are. Because as it turns out useful idiots like Stalefish are also the easiest folks for Putin to manipulate.
