Their dumping massive amounts of Bitcoin through market sells during the most illiquid trading hours (when the 'Muricans we're shooting off fireworks) has been extremely poorly executed and is fiscally irresponsible. It will likely be in history books as one of the greatest financial blunders of all time, similar to the Russians selling AK to the USA. But fuck 'em. I'm getting more sale corn.

Yeah, I am mad that the two party system has failed us miserably. It sucks that the party who keeps warning us about how the orange man is going to kill democracy seems to be steadfastly against having any sort of democratic process to select a candidate who isn't obviously senile.

Also, answer the question. You team Joe, or not?

This isn’t polyass. Feel free to argue against Matt Darling’s agreement with Krugman if you like. Or don’t.

It’s Luddite to say “the internet has transformed every aspect of our lives. It has become indispensable”, while also showing that it hasn’t caused economic productivity to accelerate?

Yes, it is Luddite: 1) Acceleration is the rate of change, 2) Frontier innovation is much harder than catch-up innovation, 3) America's productivity growth sets it apart compared with other advanced economies.

All three together means it gets harder, requires more technology, just to maintain a given rate of change which the United States has done thanks to innovations like the internet. Especially in comparison with other peer economies such as Canada, the Euro zone, UK, etc.

Even a small increase in economic growth has profound and widespread positive effects on individuals, communities, and nations over the long term thanks to the power of compounding. By comparison, if most European countries became part of the United States they would find themselves among the poor per capita. Countries like Italy, Spain, and Portugal would rank alongside Mississippi, one of the poorest states. Even larger economies such as Mexico and China lag significantly behind Mississippi, with GDP per capita approximately 50 percent less. Meanwhile NY income is nearly double that of Mississippi.

It's Christmas in July that one time a year when you're explicitly allowed to tell stories that lie to children. Jong shouldn't waste it retelling tales from Krugman.

Stale addressed that upthread and said it's a nothing burger and you should be outraged at Warren Buffet and Coca Cola.

The existential dread of living with a constant 80db+ drone created by thousands of machines buzzing away producing nothing but speculative ‘value’ is nightmare fodder.
