I'd be really reluctant to buy anything from them without test riding. Their kinematics on the bikes here look... brutal. Massively high anti-squat, anti-rise, & pedal kickback. Really low leverage ratio.

I wouldve figured extra links would be their way of dealing with that. Strange if so. I know some people have had problems adjusting but then others have excelled. I wonder if theyve changed tge kinematics some on the new bikes? That article was referencing the 2022 foxy.
They didnt dive in too deeply in this article

Is it ok to make snide comments to elderly e-bikers illegally riding on trails where they are not permitted?

Too heavy on climbs. They were certainly struggling on the way down government trail.

Who gives a shit. I have a very fit friend who can climb most tech trails on an amish bike as fast as I can on an e-bike. Should he be banned from riding certain trails as well?

Maybe give them a high five and appreciate that they are out riding and not sitting on a couch somewhere.

It’s as ok as any other opportunity to be a dick, I guess. Why bring that energy to the trail?

Fazua Ride 60 / Relay, only 12 cycles on the battery. I went on a ride, used 50%, charged it overnight, and now the battery shows full, but the bike won't power on. When I install it, the battery lights cycle on and show full. Then when I use the controller on the bike to turn on the bike, no lights on the bike, but the battery will flash 1 light like it is dead.

There is basically 0 troubleshooting information from Fazua. Calling Transition... nobody home... they have 100% computer generated voices, some of which are distorted and unintellible, on their phone system now... weird. Hope they aren't about to go under...

Transition HQ's computer generated greeting: "We regret to inform you that no humans are available to take your call at the moment. Call back later or contact us electronically *CLICK*" You cannot leave voicemail.

Fazua only has email support and refers out to approved "dealers," the only one listed within 90 minutes of me is a Christy Sports, which is a Pivot dealer.

My local Transition dealer doesn't open until noon.

I think the first thing i'd try is to clean the battery connection and put a bit of dielectric grease on them. Could be? Battery lights are good but only one light on computer

Oh I don’t know…maybe because there are signs everywhere that say e-bikes are not permitted?

I think we have confirmed by the response that owners of e-bikes don’t believe they are required to comply with the laws.

The e-bikes obviously also are encouraging elderly users to ride black diamond designated single track and get in over their heads. They are going to get hurt.

it does not seem to be a problem up here, it sez on the sign that class 1 E-bikes are permitted but you don't see the old folks on radpower bikes riding trails cuz its just too hard altho you do see them on main street, so if you are getting old guys in socks and sandals smoking a dart riding 80lb bikes maybe your mtn bike trails are too easy ?

so we can have e-bikes on mtn bikes trail systems up here in canada, they are all over all over Yurp & Asia and there are no problems

ergo the real problem must be Americans ?

    "TORQUE SENSOR ERROR"

I got Transition on the phone. They advised a firmware update. Hooked to my computer, the Fazua windows app actually could see all 4 components, updated all, and it showed "Torque Sensor ERROR" went into live data and torque/cadence flickered between 0 and 3237.7.

The connections accessible from the battery compartment were solid.

I wonder if I can get to the sensor by pulling the motor, and tightening the connection, or if it is integrated and inaccessible, thus a warranty issue?

I had issues on my Shimano that was fixed with a firmware update, altho people do fuck them up the firmware updates are pretty easy and about all you can do outside of checking connections which is probably why they are telling you to try the update but you are saying they are up to date

torque sensor sounds like a warranty issue

Well, I screwed around with it, went back to calibrate the torque sensor but it had cleared the fault and the readings were normal.... hopefully it doesn't recur

OK so the motor is OK and the fault is gone OR ??

My dreaded E010 issues on a Shimano are a classic torque sensor issue, sometimes rebooting cleared it and sometimes it was completley dead,

I'm 4 hrs from the dealer so I never really got it fixed becuz it would be ok for awhile and then it would fail, the thing with an intermitent bug is that you can't really fix it when the bug goes away.

I updated the firmware twice and on the second update > 6 months after I had bought the bike the bug completely went away so it was bad firmware

we are now riding computers with 2 wheels

Yea fault is gone... haven't gone for a ride yet...

Luckily I am good at computers... but I do worry about it going TU on a ride...

Interesting thing: Fazua windows diagnostics software lets you set wheel diameter, speed limits, cassette teeth, chainring size... I haven't messed with it but you could potentially kill the limiter.

Another intersting thing: Fazua has a setting in the software for a bike light that is operated by the right controller. It can support 25W to the light! That is easily 2000lumen. There are offering but they are expensive like $150-$375... when you consider there isn't even a battery! The wiring is cheap like $10-20... I bet a DIY could get it 2000lumen for <$100

Im not sure. Torque sensor error on a shimano most likely means its new motor time becaise the torque semsor has detached and shimano dont sell small parts for their motors. Its the most common warrantee issue with shimano. It could be totally different with fazua i really have no idea. But that could be good because i havent heard mention of that on fazua. I know bosch and brose are almosr completely rebuildable

Complaining loudly about things that don't actually affect you and don't matter, in an inappropriate place, while being completely oblivious = you're the Karen
