    Ugh. Yes, they should.

In other Browns news, I rode in a golf cart yesterday with Yancey Thigpen who after some introductions and niceties informed me that he was on the Steelers team that beat the Browns 3 times in one season (+playoff). That hurt so I had extra margaritas at dinner. Super nice guy though.

The Bills are on the hook for his 2024 gaurunteed salary after the NFL new year starts in early Mar. They also are responsible for a prorated amount from his signing bonus from his 2022 restructured contract.
If they made the trade after 1 Jun, they could have split the dead cap hit over 2 years like the Broncos are doing for Wilson. The Bills opted to take the hit this year because they're projected to be 25 million under next years cap.
I won't lie, I'm not 100% certain what I just typed is correct.

After continuing to think about the Diggs trade I've decided that I was wrong to wonder if it might be a questionable move.

In actuality, it's a really stupid move.

I believe what you typed is correct.

From reading the Buff beat writers and other Bills news I follow it sounds like they were so done with his shit they’re willing to have $31M on the cap this year and not have him on the team.

And seeing the void Hou just gave him it looks like a lot to give up a #2 for a one year rental. I doubt a 32yo Diggs is going to get a better contract than the extension Buff gave him in ‘22.

Whatev, he was great for the Bills and helped bring them to where they are now. I root for the laundry whoever is wearing it

And I just read since they voided those years they won’t be eligible for a compensatory pick if/when he walks as a FA. I could see him going to Dallas with his brother

On whose part? I think the Bills wanted a hard reset and a 2nd was the best they could get.
Now the 2022 restructure might've been a suspect move, but who knows if that was to keep Diggs happy.

Next year's Joe Flacco is going to be Tom Brady. You heard it here first: Deshaun Watson is going to have a rough recovery from his shoulder surgery, the Browns will rifle through 4-5 backup QBs while the defense keeps them at 10-11 wins when the call goes out to Tom.

LOL Zach Wilson goin to the donkeys. Denver coughs up a late round pick and Jests are eating some of his salary. I still think he ends up in the UFL.

according to the turd sports network

[jets] will receive a sixth-round selection (No. 203) in this week's NFL draft from the Broncos, who along with Wilson will receive a seventh-round pick (No. 256). The Jets and Broncos are splitting the $5.5 million Wilson is due this season with each team paying $2.75 million

2nd overall pick gets traded for a sixth rounder and some petty cash. Brutal.

Same. Rather give him a shot than draft Nix, honestly. He looks decent at times. If he sucks maybe they'll actually have a top pick for Sanders or someone else.

Right? With several million in the bank too and the rest of your life to spend not getting hit by angry defenders? Seems like he could do worse.

Zach Wilson is not an NFL player. Not even a backup.

Is Sam Darnold available? He might be a good fit in DEN.

How’s the Denver suburban housemom scene?

Darnold signed with the Rams I believe.

I mean, they swapped a 7th for a 6th and NY pays for a chunk of his salary? It’s not like they gave up anything and aren’t out much if they cut him in camp right?
