According to several sources, Arizona Coyotes players and staff were told before Friday’s game in Edmonton that the team will be going to Utah and there will be an opportunity to check out their new locale.

With players and staff demanding answers after reports of the potential move, Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong flew to Alberta after attending the Frozen Four semifinals Thursday in Minnesota. He declined to comment, but those sources indicated he came clean about the move and told everyone there would be arrangements to visit Salt Lake City.

I think they ought be called the pioneers. Big ass handlebar mustache...

If I was still in Salt Lake I would be first in line for season tickets!!

At the end of the broadcast they were talking about all the team and event staff that were losing their jobs and that just made me so mad. Especially because the owner gets first rights to fuck up the new expansion team.

As for names I think someone said super soakers and anything else will be a disappointment [emoji23]

I mean, I’ve lived both places and while the nature of SLC is the best in the world, I’d live here in PHX before I’d move back to salt lake.

Wouldn’t be tough for me to go back to PHX over SLC. Skiing isn’t everything and one could argue there’s more to do within an hour radius of PHX than in SLC. PHX felt like it had a way more diverse culture, which is partially to say no momo influence.

I wish they were able to keep the team there and add an expansion team in SLC. It will be really nice to have an NHL somewhat nearby though. Hopefully the hockey culture continues to grow in eastern ID. I was pretty blown away with the lack thereof when living in Idaho Falls.
