Is the book any good? Mixed reviews on Amazon and, perhaps, dated?

Went up to MSH seeking solitude and what’s this? Party at the summit… and yes it was indeed a glorious day, minus a tragedy. I heard someone got too close to the edge and the cornice broke off and fell into the crater. So sad.

No worries, I am pretty skeptical myself that it's his conspiracy theory, but that turn felt soo good lol, fun to speculate. I ordered the book on paperback to see what's up.

When you finish reading it please report back. The reviews were a bit mixed, so I didn't order it

Soft turns and no wind at Skibowl today. One of these days we are going to get more people to join us. Ghost town.

How quickly in the past do the full access season passes sell out? If they do at all.

afaik, this is new with the dynamic pricing business on early season pass purchase
notably they don't say what their thresholds are for when prices shift

not sure why they're trying to squeeze the full pass purchasers since those always sell -- i guess they want the cash in hand asap

In the last 6 to 7 years of their pass options, I've never seen an increase before May 31.
I think my son bought his in September and it was still the base price

Spring pass purchased yesterday. Will be skiing there the rest of the week until Sunday. I'm sure that will keep any fresh snow away from Bachy.

It was sticky from the getgo at Meadows today, more so at higher elevation.
And a sign of snow coming in ? Click image for larger version.

If Meadows becomes either an Epic local resort like Stevens or a part of Ikon, I could save about $1000. Not that it will ever happen but is that something to wish for? I don’t think Bachelor has gotten any worse by becoming an Ikon resort… at least from my limited experience skiing there.

^^^Joining Ikon created much larger “holiday” crowds at Mt Brokenchair

And it seems like every fucking week from MLK day to mid April has a “holiday” of some sort for some tourista.

And don’t get me started on the ski clubs with their scarves flying off the back of their helmets. Like the two hundred Floridians for 8 days. “Sad” they were mostly pinned down by blizzards that week.

Damn, we missed out on booking an RV site for the Doo for this coming weekend because Snake Run Rally resulted in all the sites being booked! The place was empty after that big storm cycle at the start of March finished through, basically no one in the dry camping lot, they didn’t even fill up the lower lot for most of March! We’ll be missing the last weekend of night skiing I guess. Still hoping to come up for Spring Fling.

Ask the customers and employees how it worked out at Stevens. I didn't have personal experience but heard It was a serious shit show. I'm sure there is a thread here discussing if you want to go spelunking the TGR catacombs.

I’m thinking if Meadows becomes a part of Ikon or Epic, more locals will visit other Epic/Ikon resorts (like Bachelor) than vice versa... like Alppys visiting Bach. It could be a win-win situation.
