I’d park at Sky if coming over Monday - WV will still be a shitshow from Rendezvan

I’d have snow tires if you’re coming over the pass Sunday night or early Monday

I put Bridgestone Weatherpeak's on for my summer tires. They are even snowflake rated and look more like a snow tire than all season. I'm too lazy to put my studs back on. Subaru's go anywhere, right?
Rendezvan ends tomorrow I thought. I'm driving over Monday afternoon, skiing Tue & Wed

It does end tomorrow but it takes a couple of days for them to remove stages, booths and the general detritus of the event.

    Ski ya Wednesday, maybe Tuesday

A layer of heavy wet on top of a season's worth of base.

A little breezy at Mt Brokenchair as well

    Sunday, May 5th:

8:05am Update: Current conditions do not permit the operation of Red Chair. All scheduled lifts will remain on hold for wind and will continue to be assessed as the morning progresses.

7:35am Update: All scheduled lifts will start the day on hold due to extreme winds. Teams are currently assessing Red Chair as back up for Pine Marten. If parking in Sunrise or Skyliner lots, the interlodge shuttle will be operating to access West Village. Check back here for updates as the morning progresses.

It was windy even on the HRM side, and the snow never came just the wind... skiing would have been marginal at best even if MHX ran. And crikey it took me 2 hours to get up to star and a good reminder that I need to get in shape

Upper cone skied well. Cone trees required quick, light feet.
