When you buy a 3rd owner piece of history, you can’t simply remove all the “quirks” you don’t want at that point. It’s the whole kit n caboodle or nothing.

easy to be a flacco sentimentalist, specially given the guy he replaced. but don't forget, the guy was on the couch for a reason. and there were a lot of picks thrown over those few games. and, well, that blow up game happened.

Yeah, it's really easy to romanticize Joe's play over those 5 games because (a) no one in Cleveland has ever seen a prettier ball thrown, and (b) the unbelievable couch to starter story and multiple 300+ yard games were just so great it was easy to overlook the arm punts and 3 INT games.

The Browns had to get a backup that fits the offense they are building around their $230MM liability, er quarterback. Unfortunately Joe isn't that style of QB. I wish Joe was back as our starter, hell, I wish Baker was our starter, but this is the world we live in for at least the next 2 seasons.

To be fair the one in the picture looks like it's stuck in extended mode on the airsprings. It was an issue I dealt with a few times along my ownership journey to the moon.
