My 1960 Willys CJ5 with the same motor, a Muncie M22 tight ratio 4 speed, 5.38's in the pumpkins, Rochester 2 barrel progressive, headers and mild cam did sub 6 seconds to 55 dropping it in 2nd and popping 4th. 215hp (to the wheels) and ~240lb of torque was enough to get the front wheels off the ground if I let it rip in 1st. I had to hit the OD (WARN 27% OD) at about 45-50 and it would start to shake not long after 55. It did 60 but it wasn't terribly confidence-inspiring above that even though the motor had lots more to give, the 5.38s had a lot to do with it too. That thing was all about the grunt, it would climb walls and tow triple its weight (slowly), if I could manage to keep my foot out of it it got 22mpg which was nice because that little 10 gallon tank under the drivers seat was pretty useless.Name: imagejpeg_0.jpg

There's a lot of words in this post that I have no fucking clue about. You sold it well though.

0-60 isn't a super important metric in the application I'd want that CJ5, but I'm willing to bet its 0-30 is pretty stout! I rarely get past 20 or so anyway with the Samurai, and it's an absolute riot to hoon around off-road. Heck, I rarely even make it out of 2nd gear. In the famous words of one Doctor Emmett Lathrop Brown, "Roads? Where we're going... we don't need roads."

Can it climb a 90 degree wall? That's the important metric.

We lost a great one. We used to get pics of Aventadors and the occasional Wraith to inspire us in this thread. Now we get CJs with 5.38 pumpkins.

If fastfred ever goes, I'm gonna be in a serious funk.

Are we still getting free Carfax reports here? I'm helping my SIL sell a car and one potential buyer wants one.

No but it was nice that it could comfortably keep up with suburban traffic in the 90s. 2nd was too low for most things other than very low speed off road stuff. In 3rd in 4 Low it maxed at ~15mph and could still get the front wheels off the ground if I goosed it.

I was doing some front end work one day and had the bumper off so I put the right front tire against a tree and the thing walked itself up and my stoned ass didn't stop in time so it stood up on the rear mounted spare. I laughed for a while and drank a beer admiring my handiwork then spun it around and pushed it back down onto the wheels. That broke a motor mount

My electric school pass literature states "0-60 mph acceleration in 49 seconds depending on final drive rear axle ratio" 45-60mph is quite the marathon on an uphill highway grade

It's gravity's long winded way of saying he once owned an old jeep. Translation: They wheel like crazy but not great on the hwy.

Last gas powered Macan from Porsche as well.

Those Alphas are so pretty, and that green is such an outstanding color.

Always a good sign when the listing has a flatbed deployed in the pics and the owner has installed external battery terminals for ease of jumping.

FWIW I determined that I could get a free Carfax by signing up for their "owner membership" program or whatever. I used a throwaway email and it worked well.

I think it would be smart for the Carfox and stuff like Consumer Reports to offer a day/week pass for like $5. When the average Joe wants to buy a car or an anal hair trimmer every five years getting a yearly subscription just doesn't make much sense.

I'm sure someone has done the math, but I'm guessing they'd do pretty well with the average car buyer that wants to run 5-6 $5 Carfaxes when they are shopping but would otherwise be turned off by a $20 annual membership.

So Bobby is just MIA and didn't get the ban hammer?

He fought the law, and the law won?

His last communication here he was driving a Lambo to Bonita Springs just as Ian hit. Then darkness.

I just spent a few days in Naples; what a weird fucking place. Lambos and Bentleys, trucknuts and "Salt Life"ers, retired NYC cops and a sea of geriatrics, MAGA and tract housing developments as far as the eye can see.

I can see how Bobby could get eaten alive in a place like that.

I did see some manatees though and that was cool.

Guys, is this true? I don't own a Porsche or grow weed, so just trying to confirm this.
