The Maybach is miles away the better looking of the two that’s for sure.
They're both ugly AF. The Maybach looks like an eggplant fucked a beer keg. I would have thought with your frequent anti blob suv rants you'd have noticed that the designer of the Cullinan used a ruler.

Don't let the manual diesel wagon mafia hear you. They'll come after you in some random euro box they bought 6 states away for twice the NADA value. But don't worry, they'll be too busy trying to figure out how to turn on the heated steering wheel they don't have.

I agree, both are ugly as sin. The designer of the Cullinan used the Canyonero as his go-by, to me that doesn't make it any less appealing in the SUVinverse.

After Bobby shared the Nurburgring video of your SUV I think its safe to say there's nothing blob-like about it.

    Now this is a blob.

It looks like a bee stung it.

The wheels make me smile though cause they're a nod to DigitalDrew's AMG Sonata.

I think the sportback style (i.e, X6, etc.) makes them look more blobby. And you loose the practicality of the higher roofline. Makes no sense to me.

Clarkson nailed the entire genre with his review of the first X6. Useless things that aren't good at being sporty, utilitarian, or anything in between.

I like my wagons and SUVs straight and square, like a Defender, or an 80 series Yota Cruiser. I do not like more than a minimally rounded edge.

I rented one of those for a big road trip with the family once, it wasn't a bad ride at all. I just like the outright quirkiness of some cars and the Aztek is nearly the pinnacle so the stupid side of me wants one. You guys met stupid me, right? Lol. The thing with minivans is it took ~30 years for them to mature and be reasonably safe as well as efficient. Chrylser with the 5th gen, Toyota had things come together in what, 2012, and a few of the others were right around then too like the Transit Connect. At this point missing some of the modern safety features in your daily is like gambling... Some of the shit I see people do and some of the crashes I see scare the shit out of me and I see all sorts of shit with all the miles I do. At this point I have to let my car-emotions live online and look towards more modern dailies until my wallet lets me play again and have a weekend/occasional in the driveway. It sux.

Re: blobs and jellybeans. I've always liked complex curves and odd angles on cars and over the last 20 or so years there have been some great looks. I don't like the rear like on the X6 and other full size vehicles but it looks great on the Mazda 3. IMO that little thing is one of the best looking cars available in the country now which is why there will be one in my driveway before the summer. If anyone knows where there's a manual tranny AWD one for sale lemme know, they're out of production now and it's hard to find a CPO one here in the northeast.

Bringing it back to the meat of the thread, it looks like the used car market has kind of stabilized in a better place than it was for the last few years. It's still elevated above the pre-pandemic years and some vehicles are just plain old stupid priced and the Toyota/Honda tax needs to abate some still but overall it's not the dumpster fire that it was. One difference is the proliferation of salvage and rebuilt title vehicles out there so buyer beware.

We're just full of good ideas up in this thread today, aren't we?

And this would be me trying to explain that to the woman behind the window who is just counting the years until she can retire and stop dealing with the public:

Holy shit! Anyone have $35k I can borrow? This is far and away the best engine I've ever owned (out of about 30 different ones), had one in my old Willys and have been wanting another ever since
