I have the same pair. They're the 2015/16 model, and follow the Bibby shape I believe. Really fun skis, I use them as my powder ski now

Ha I've heard the full WC is honestly fun in any conditions, even low tide. Know a few people who daily it..a bit extreme, but they are chargy riders that hit bigger drops than I do. I am at least on a 108 right now and its still a blast right now. I am tempted to just grab a WC 101 to end out the season haha. I keep looking at snow reports and it is just not looking good.

he’s in a two ski quiver for the trip. DW112 and the WC118. Skied rhe DW the first couple of days. But after the dump he’s been skiing the WC 118.

Forgive my excessive posting on this site. I need to keep stoke high by endlessly discussing skis. So what are the goods on the Moment Meridian? I just happen to scroll down and its amazing top sheet caught my attention. Anyone prefer that over a WC 108 or DW 112? Or is it a weapon to grab for specific off-piste soft snow conditions specifically?

my meridian 107 was my favorite ski. By a lot. Until my ghost trains.

the merdian is a fun ski. Pivots on a dime, slashes and slarves to your hearts content. It will charge pretty hard speed wise because of the flat bases and before you know it you’re hauling the mail at warp speed but again the super pivoty nature of the ski allows it to quickly bring you back down to earth.

its stiffer and will plow through crud and chop. Doesn’t love icy and firm pack. You really need to be on your game when you suddenly hit ice.

it has zero energy. Because there’s no camber it’s not going to shoot you from one turn to the next. It’s not dead but don’t expect it to help propel you by any means.

In tight spaces and trees the meridians are a dream. Again pivot on a dime to make your way through the glades or chutes. You move it reacts in that sense.

I LOVE them so I’m a bit biased. They’re not for everyone. They aren’t locked in like a dw but that’s not the point.

I do have the older 19/20 build which has the aspen/ash core which in my opinion is better than the newer poplar/ash combo. Luke had explained to me that aspen had become too expensive/hard to reliably obtain so they switched to the easier to obtain poplar.

I can't conceptualize the zero energy thing having never been on a full rocker. Is is mostly bad on ice when you a running flat? From some reviews it sounds like it is squirrelly when you bases are flat on the snow (only groomers I imagine). Albeit, other reviews suggest it isn't that bad on hard pack/ice.

0 energy is bit being able to load the ski during a turn and pop out to the next one. Hope that helps.

Never been on WCs but just wanted to say that the '23 190 DW112 are probably my fav everyday ski ever for PNW conditions in the resort (alpy/Hyak mostly). Relatively light, damp, stable, poppy, and fun all at the same time.

In this terrain my style is pivoting and slashing through tight trees while still being able to charge and float in deep heavy snow and carve shit groomers back to the lift. Pretty much what we have here all the damn time. Not great with the forward-ish mount in really deep snow (but are still fine) but I have way too many other fat skis for those days. Just get a pair

In naval ranks the rank below Commander is Lieutenant Commander. Thats what they should call the skinniest version of the Commander.

Heads-up that I am going to be unloading my kid's Kietzkis in a 158. Usual topsheet chips, mounted with brand new this season warden 11s. No core shots, no edge damage. Great pow ski for bigger kids or for a little lady.

If anyone's interested shoot me a PM.

Been skiing my DWT and absolutely loving them. I have the voyager bindings which I also notice a huge difference in performance compared to my other Rotations. However, I have noticed that the button to release the brakes on the Voyager bindings ices up very easily. Is this consistent with the experience of others? Any tips or tricks to keep it from sticking?

After all of the Deathwish discussion, I pulled out my OG 112s. Man they are a blast. I have been skiing Commander 98s for most of season due to the shit conditions I have had. Forgot just how good they are and versatile. Carving on groomers, slarving, switch - all of it was very solid.

Heading to Park City next week with ~20" on the forecast, this weekends skiing made my decision on what to bring super easy.

Was considering pulling the trigger on a Commander for the shit PNW conditions we've been dealing with as well, but snagged the DW 104 for something a bit more versatile. Super pumped to get it mounted. I imagine it'll have me wanting the full DW.

I really love the commanders when the time is right and the group is ready to rip at speed. The DW are just massively versatile until you hit the 45+MPH range.

I just read through 100 pages of this thread trying to determine if I want a Wildcat 108 tour or a DWT for my touring ski. And the only thing I’ve determined is that some of you are in a cult. No offense meant.

45+ put me on the 104. A lot more stable at speed with the stiffer core.
