Commanders are a ton of fun if you're in their wheel house. They're a hell of a handful in the wrong conditions. I got my ass squarely kicked by them on a icy, bumpy, low vis day. For redemption I took them out and railed smooth groomers as fast as I could a couple days later. They like to be opened up. I will add that the 102 is a pretty respectable ski in pow considering what it is.

I'm back and forth between a Devastator and Wilcat 108 with Cast for my narrower all around/slack country ski.

I'd love to ski the Deathwish, but that slot is full for now. No temptation needed.

I’ve had both in non tour versions and currently have a Wildcat tour 108. The WCT 108’s are for sale and will be replaced by the DWT. My opinion is that the DWT will be a hair more versatile and forgiving. Also, I keep using my 184 Bibby tours over the 190 WCT 108, so damn versatile and can be DD in your neck of the woods for sure (sleepy side of the Tetons?).

For a beefier AT boot I went from the Shift Pro 130 to the Atomic Hawx 130. I felt the Atomic Hawx felt more locked in and rigid (However, for riding in bounds I realized I was making sacrifices with a beefier AT boot and ended up going with an actual resort boot i.e. the Lange Shadow 130. I was essentially over flexing the boot due to it not being close to a 130 flex and it was starting to feel uncomfortable on cliff drops, bigger airs, and chopped up snow.).

I know it’s not going to happen again at this point but I’d like a merdian with triple camber or a baby ghost train please. That is all. Thank you

Isnt that the old exit world (not the Bobby version, but the triple camber version)? I think there’s a pair for sale somewhere down in SoCal

no the exit world was a touring ski, and 118 under foot.

im talking merdian ish waist so 107ish with triple camber added.

or a ghost train with a narrower waist like 1
    108-110ish. Non touring layup.

i know moment built the meridian with triple camber in the past but it was only for them. Wasn’t offered to the public. Too niche to put into production as it was even more love or hate that the meridian currently is.

found a $100 pair of 2017 belafonte's to mount in great condition. got on them last week. i have a deathwish and wildcat 101. the belafonte is super burly and a lot of fun. almost debating selling the 101's... anyone else still rocking these skis today? seems the triple camber on them is pretty surfy feeling but the ski feels more grounded if that makes sense. that could also be due to the ski being a bit older and more dead.

I’ve been on the 194 Countach the last 4 days at Breck. Conditions have been good, groomers are relatively soft and there’s soft snow in the bowls and some wind blown powder in spots. These skis can handle anything. Haven’t found their speed limit yet, they are damp and responsive. I’m 6’5” 205 and felt I was a little in between lengths but I’m happy with the 194. Super stable and yet still really easy to turn sideways and dump speed. Not a mogul ski but I can get through if I have too. Snow report shows a fresh 6” overnight so I’m excited to try them in fresh snow.

The 194s are probably a riot. Get into any trees?

Hello and welcome (hopefully) to the Church of Moment!

I ski the 190 DWT with Voyagers. It's my favorite touring ski of all time.

Mount on the line and IMHO detune tip and tail to the point where you can still carve but also pivot a bit when you want to. It's an amazing ski and very versatile, especially in 3D snow.

The DWT was my first Moment ski. After skiing it and falling in love I bought a DW, then a Wildcat and finally a DW 104. All are 190 CM. I'm 5'11'' and 200 lbs.

DWT is a dedicated touring ski for me. I use the DW for typical targhee days with soft snow and up to 8 inches inbounds. It doesn't have a limit for snow depth in the sidecountry, but at around 8 inches or so inbounds I start wanting the Wildcat for crud busting and extra dampness. DW 104 is a low tide and spring ski for me. It's so much fun in corn, but sometimes I wish it was a bit more damp for skiing low tide mid winter coral reef. I guess I need a metal ski for those conditions.

My fiancee is also a part of the cult now, with Sierras and Bellas (DW and Wildcats in women's dimensions). I'm working on getting her to ditch a pair of Line Pandoras for a pair of Sierra tours for her dedicated backcountry setup.

It may seem like a lot when you get started in the church, but it ends up being way less than 10% of gross income once you are set up.

So Breck reported 6” but I went straight to the t-bar because it was first to open before Imperial. With the snowfall along with wind blown there was over a foot of snow or more up high. I skied the open bowls and spaced glades and they were a lot of fun. I felt they were intuitive in the trees and easy to pivot for me, I’m not an expert tree skier but I managed. In the open bowls I couldn’t ski on top of the snow, I was skiing through it. There were times where I wanted something wider but maybe it wouldn’t have mattered. I think these are a great soft snow daily driver as they just rail groomers and hammer anything in its way.

I never demoed any of the skis, I just went with the 194 because I was thinking that these would most likely be skied the most on soft groomers and the occasional powder day. The 194’s for me are just super stable for my size.
