Has anyone skied the Salomon Blank and Countach? How do they compare?
Anything else being added/subtracted?
He’s right. But I’ve really only sold the Meridians wanted the new top sheet but after spending time on the CT and R110. The meridian felt too progressive for my liking and I ended up struggling to find the center.
I had been asking for the GT for so long it would feel like a bit of a sin to sell it at this point. I still have yet to get on it.
I do have a bit of grass is always greener syndrome. With skis but I have really jived with the countach and the three HLs I have. Quiver feels pretty dialed. I do need something in the 100-105 but this season has felt pretty feast or famine.
Sold a good amount of skis at the end of season that added to the budget. But I will be the first to admit I have a problem.
I also had a circle T Scotty Cameron I sold recently that was sitting in my closet… If anyone knows about those you do some math on what was added to the bank account.
Sounds like you’re not quite the right person to ask but maybe close. I’ve been looking at the meridian and the fr110 as a progressive soft snow reverse camber daily driver. I’m leaning towards fr110 from all the hype it’s gotten and it’s heavy and it’s bamboo (love some on3ps) but the meridian has also gotten plenty of hype. I have some dw104s that I need to get on to sus out the moment resort layup. /wordvomit

I actually also have the FR 120 so I can kind of compare. I know that the FR 110 has a amount point of -6.5. I believe Meridian is -5 so it’s a touch more directional I would say the FR 110 Would be less precise than the Meridian however, I think it has a better suspension and is a touch more forgiving. It flexes softer than Meridian. The dampness does feel very similar to on3ps However, I feel the heritage labs do a lot better on edge. More similar to how moments are. Both of them have that rocking horse effect which I struggle with but I think the mount point of the FR 120 being at 7.5 helps me out a little bit. Hope that helps.
Skied the blank in a 194, CT in 188 so caveat emptor but I felt like Blank was a softer ski with better dampening by a good margin. Float a little better. Little easier to break the tails loose but really splitting hairs. I definitely feel like I ccan lean on CT harder through variable.
Any specifics shared other than a narrower width? This is exactly the news I came looking for.

Can someone convince me to get the Countach 110 vs the Wildcat 108 or Deathwish? I've seen a bit of info about the Countach and some people's reactions, but still unsure as to how different the Countach is vs the Wildcat 108 or Deathwish. If you are advanced, strong skier who enjoys charging and stomping drops and jumps but may be less worried about spinning in the air and only occasionally lands or rides switch should you go Countach? And if you like to pop off of sides hits, spin in the air, pop over moguls instead of go through them, but still like to charge to an extent and hit some good drops and jumps would the Wildcat 108 be the way to go?
I am really interested in the Countach due to its stiffness relative to the Wildcat and Deathwish. A lot of people say you can charge hard on both, but from speaking with Moment reps it sounds like a lot of their riders are opting for the Countach for free riding with bigger drops, steep chutes, etc. Curious how much playfulness is really lost since Countach still isn't a super damp or heavy ski even with the flatter tail as well.
Yes x 100.
Yes, with less emphasis on charging (rider weight dependent)
idk where you are getting that from, but the countach is damp as fuck. It's a magical ski that absorbs everything you can throw at it without pushing all that vibration into your boot. And TBH it's hefty too. The playfulness is there, but it's not deathwish/wildcat playful. Like......60%.
I just want to emphasize how much harder the countach charges vs deathwish. Like, 100% more. You can put that bitch on edge and RAIL downhill while watching the snow part like you are moses himself.
Hey thanks! I honestly was just guessing it isn't super damp..I guess I was thinking relative to true chargers with metal and in the 2300+ weight realm i.e. those straight up dead heavy planks.
With what you said it makes me think of those videos of freeriders just straight lining chopped up hard pack to a cliff, stomping it, and running out the landing to get quickly over to a pillow to boost off of.
