I'll have some heel piece turntables without brake arms. Could probably recycle yours with your brakes/dildos.

Appreciate that! These skis are a little demanding to get everything out of them, and I like that - just looking for a little help.

FWIW & FTR, I measured the adjustment range for the heel forward pressure. It’s ‘about’ 12mm at an angle, but nets ~10mm laterally (fore and aft).

A couple of the arms are wonky and need some ‘some love taps/bending and persuasion’ to get them rotating smoothly again.

I have some complete 130 brakes I'm trying to get rid of. In Tahoe, let's make a deal.

I forgot to measure Pivot heel screws during a recent mount. Can someone post measurements?

To provide screws for the above brakes, the KUU M5.5x14mm pan heads are a skootch long and may or may not need a touch of grinding. The 12mms might be a little short but ok. The rear heel screws shown are Snoli M5.5x28mm pan heads and require cutting/grinding.

The CAST kit uses those to secure the heel riser / brake retention piece, but they are identical to the longer pivot heel screws.

If someone has a better source, I'd love to hear about it.

The screws included in the CAST hardware kit for the break hold down / heel riser assembly are the closest replacement I've found for the long pivot heel screws.

As I was taking this pic I discovered that my work bench was energized... my old drill press was leaking voltage. Yikes, glad it was me that discovered it. It's probably been happening for a while but I happened to run out there with bare feet tonight [emoji51]

Are your 28mm pan heads for sure the same thread pattern as a regular alpine threaded screw? I ran in to this issue with the ones skimo.co was selling a few years ago:

They have a different pitch and deeper threads. No doubt they will work fine in new holes, but you should not try to use those screws in existing holes--you will ruin the threads and risk a binding pullout.

Fortunately I caught this before I ruined any threads.

EDIT to say that the difference in pitch is significant, not slight/compatible like the differences between a M5.5/12AB/#12 screw.

Yes. These are from the Snoli & KUU 12AB thread/alpine screw options we've been providing for a long time.

If I had taken the measurements while I was mounting the Pivots the other day I could have confirmed sizing for recomendations and set up a kit and/or consider cutting a bunch of the 28mms to correct length.

Right on, that's good news. I will get my calipers out and measure the screws this evening, happen to have some pivots sitting on the work bench at home.

I reread the piece about the incorrect screws and started wondering. I checked them against an AB12 tap, threaded into heli-coil and compared to other screws and cannot see any difference in threads.

SVST clearly stated them as alpine M5.5 alpine screws (I'm measuring (6) threads in ~9.8mm on tap and screws):

I pulled some Look P18 toes and Rossignol P15 heels off a pair of 2012 Bent Chetlers (123 waist). Brakes measure in at 120mm. One toe is missing the AFD. Hit me with an offer if you need some pieces.Click image for larger version.
