Well, I'm trying to figure out how to get out of an afternoon meeting so I can go play in the snow this afternoon. Looking promising ATM as I sneak a peak at the Bachy webcam.

Good luck - hope you can get out
Report back if you do. I’m feeling a little FOMOish for bailing this AM.

Got out for a few hours. Was not worth the FOMO. The snow coming down was just not enough to make much of a difference. Very hard pistes. Probably need 8"-10" minimum of medium density snow to cover up that very hard layer.

ETA: NWX was running, I cursed my decision to explore back there and hop on the chair but I did it and two chairs from the top the motor stopped. Fortunately only for about 4-5 minutes. Rider beware!

The NWX rebuilt motor shit the bed. Running on diesel, slowly, for the rest of the season
I hope they have Dopp installing a new lift soon. Fuck, it was 1996, it seems like that lift was new recently...
I was sad when they took out Blue and turned the Blue Lodge into a race center

Thanks for this. After yesterday on the ice rink, my head said lots of new snow needed but FOMO was still there.

What are you doing riding NWX? There’s easier ways to get a free hot chocolate…

    Famous too.
You would have been known as “the guy who lacked the skill to get down Marshmallow and had to download the Sunrise chair”

Renamed Gnarmellow. The cliffs & face can be hair raising with ice bumps and the straight lining backseat experts.

Surprisingly good afternoon/evening on the local hill (Mt A). Apparently the morning crowd got an inch or two on top of icy crust, but it dusted all morning and by mid-day, everything was carved up and the snow was in good shape for turns. Snowed some more and then the skies cleared, winds were nonexistent, and the evening light was bouncing off the valley clouds. Pretty sweet scene. Sometimes you never know what you're going to get so go get it

My favorite are still those trying to get the best reception for KVAL and other local news stations with those rabbit ear antennas coming out of the armpits, bent over while rotating the antenna this way and that.

Reminds me of intermittently having to rotate my bunny ears to get the best reception for reruns of the A Team and Knight Rider …

I’m going to try and rally up to Bachelor Butt in the AM. See if this storm produced any snow overnight.

Was coming down steady after 1pm so might be nice if the wind doesn’t blow it all off.

Did you see the agenda? I'm not sure how much of it was followed or some of the specifics. It would be a good blog post topic. Maybe they will give minutes now that the TH has happened.

It might be awhile with 23/24 looking like a poor cash flow season.

First one won't blow your doors off but makes a ton of sense from an infrastructure perspective. New lift from Sunrise to between bottom of Vista and top of Bcup.

Next one is further down the road (2027) and is going to be a love/hate kind of thing with people. New Heather chair with top Station above the Twilight entrance...memory is a bit fuzzy on exact top station location.

Also in the plans...Expanding Summer Hiking trails and aerial adventure course, Nordic infrastructure and building, lights for night skiing.
