Don't confuse rosswald with rothwald [emoji6]

Rothwald is on my to do list. Rosswald is more complicated. According to sources.

The map there is showing Rosswald, a different station lower on the simplon pass road.

Links point to Rothwald a smaller place further up the pass. T bar through the forest basically. Had a fantastic storm day there with a few mags a while back.

Nice little mag meet up today with skiinggirl and waxoff at Zurs. Still some good snow to be found! Rain crust started about 150m above valley floor, but good above that, and still freshies to be found. Thanks for the good times!

    ^^^^^^

    Solid work mags.

Skiinggirl heads over the pond soon to hang with us in JH pretty soon. We'll tag up and then I'm headed your way with Buster and the BBI+ crew in late February.

If anyone else wants to join the fun, we'll be skiing anything within about an hour of Landeck until Feb 3. Let me know if you want to meet up!

With the tunnel access to the lower mountain they are doing lots of control work and even have an official off piste route through the zone. I heard yesterday they had blocked off access to upper section. Less need to guinea pig these days, but it does gets skied out much faster.

I missed the goods yesterday. Today, the top is all blown out and bottom all skied out and getting heavy. Good pow for those willing to take the bus back.

I don't know what to make of the second pic but I approve it! [emoji3]

Lötschental was already skied to bits and/ or windfucked on saturday.
    Today: kids ski day.
Bonus I got mY Praxis powderboards mounted and am thus no longer just an honorary member of the "Powder Board rangers". I still haven't tried any Fischer rangers..... [emoji3]

    Nothing because n+1!
. But my alpine setup Rocker 122s are falling apart. The beast "touring" ones still hold up. So basically something to cruise shallow to deep pow. Still undecided whether I will Charge on them. If I ever Charge being 84 years old. [emoji6]

But honestly as I said it was basically because I wanted to get Promoted from hangaround to full member [emoji3]
Only some Fischer rangers are still missing. Which Was pointed out in our WhatsApp group yesterday.

If you look closely enough you'll see the booster Straps in the eagles talons. Which I don't have either....

Stupid warm out there today. Basically couldn't ski anything that wasn't groomed after about noon today at SFL it was so soft! Love me some spring skiing, but getting it in January is a bit much! At least most of the hill was open for most of the day, unlike some other places it looks like.

Having trouble figuring out what's happening up high. Most resorts don't seem to be updating things online. Which probably isn't a good sign...

Currently +5° and raining in Landeck. Might just be a day to eat schnitzel...

So what's up with Verbier? The FWT is promising excellent conditions on the Bec this weekend.

There’s plenty of snow on it but the freezing level was well above 2,000m on Wednesday and there’s been plenty of wind. There might be good snow on the top if it wasn’t wind scoured but I expect lower down will be crusty as fuck. Yesterday things nearby got nasty below about 2,750, though that was in areas with more skier passage/compaction than the Bec.
