Saturday all lifts were down at Jay so we skinned the long trail to the summit in the afternoon, absolute country club day out there. wind died down and there was about 4-5" of fresh on the groomers, mellow cruising on the down hill with a fun crew was stellar. Sunday they only ran the Bonnie which we kind of anticipated, hit first chair and scored deep turns on can-am/liftline/canyonlands; then started hiking for it on the west side, untouched shin deep goodies in Beav. Pond and other glades, best skiing of the year. Monday ripped a ton of soft groomer laps, dipped in the woods some more and still scored some fresh lines off the Flyer. overall sweet weekend and Jay is in great shape again. Tomorrow should be a pow bonanza for anyone who can get out there.

Yeah Saturday was crazy in the western Whites. Trees down everywhere. But then we got some snow and Sunday was good and then yesterday was great under a bright sun and untracked snow if you knew where to go. The base in the woods is firm (ice) but covering most of the crap.
Thanks to whoever took off the snows.

    ^ Can confirm.

Finished our day on Big Ben which is really low angle but was all natural with 3+" on top of the rained in base.

I'd say we got a solid 5" here at Base o' Magic.

Over producing on Mansfield as well. No action pics, but any time you’re plastered with snow up to the knees and you can ski to the car is alright by me.

Loaf was about as good as it gets, better would’ve been all terrain open and a wee bit less wind. Bluebird + 12” of blower = skiing is fun

They reported 8" between Tue and Wed and it seemed every bit of that.

Top of the Glacier was scoured clean; made for some excitement until halfway down the headwall and then it was packed pow goodness all the way to the bottom. We had it to ourselves.

Lots of glades totally in and skiable (Low Rider, Julio, Juanita).

Best day of the year for me so far.

Yesterday was day two upta Big Moose (formerly big squaw). About 8” of new with a cold wind. Hit my max uphill of the year at 6,400’. Took a run to calibrate the snow. Many, many pungies from the machine clearing of the trails.

Dang....Big Moose Knuckle looks like the perfect location for a sustainable, successful and highly profitable cat skiing operation.

Ha. Pretty sure the plan is to show it off to someone who wants to become a millionaire.

For now it’s nice to have 1,700’ vertical ski area for uphilling
