At least it was supportable enough to not break on through.

Not the best crust slayers. I owned those skis in a 184 and 177. Lets hope tonight pans out.

We got fuq'd in SoVT (again). Maybe 2" of new snow before it started raining at 5am here at the Base o' Magic.

    Yesterday, by contrast, was spectacular.

Note the runnels in the all-natural snow under the lift. Yes, we've been getting that much rain.

Only 1 way down from the summit but the manmade snow was exceptional. Magic won't make snow in marginal temps/humidity. They're way behind in trail count but what they have feels almost natural.

Slow start at Wildcat but the snow was surfy and fun, hard to tell how much they ended up getting. Deep in spots but we managed to find some base chunder too. Lifts opened at least 15 minutes late from what I could tell. Wind killed my phone right after I took this pic.

Cannon and Loon closed due to wind. Wind actually broke a plate glass window in the lodge.
    Pouring rain.
It's a "stay safe out there" kind of day here.

a lot of cat and mouse with patrol trying to shut us down with the skin game on the closed lifts but we won in the end.

    good times were had.

Way to find the fresh and loose patrol guys.

We moved down to Smugglers notch last night knowing the second day of our Vermont pow mission was entering murky waters. Hung in the van until 10 in the morning watching many forms of precipitation fall when we finally set out. Day turned out to have some really great skiing.

Some pretty good stoke on this page considering i went running in shorts (after waiting for the rain to stop) in the capital region yesterday.

Hit Loon today, as I'm Ikonic. Didn't suck too bad. Guess I need to venture north friday.

Snowing in SoVT with about 1/2" down so far. Supposed to snow all day. Hoping all the kooks headed back south from Stratton.
