What’s your thoughts on Meadows operating status tomorrow? Can they get HRM lift going at least? Besides deicing delays, what’s the max wind the six-pack can withstand? Finally we get to feast and I’m just chomping at the bit.

Somewhere between 6:00-7:00 they estimated a noon opening

MHM needs a time stamp on their conditions page

Anyone else's Track Your Turns data gone, all of it?

I'm going Thursday, hopefully. My neck isn't much better today, just sore

So, opening with possibly over 36” of fresh PLUS any wind loading in the number bowls?!?
Snowboarders better sit off the first 20 chairs until the skiers can trench an exit to the lifts…!

Just added Mrs k2 for emergency contact
    Emailed them Monday evening

Just saw that close to 10:00 they finally got cats working on the bottom terminal of MHX. We're they working on begginer terrain first? They had 15 people digging out MHX by hand. I wonder if those chairs left on the line will screw them?

Damn - free refills has an all new meaning. Almost 15" on the stake at Bachy. Spent an hour last night blowing snow and another hour this morning before work. No local roads plowed. Couldn't tell where the street curbs were and clipped a curb making a right hand turn. Fun times driving in a winter wonderland. Be safe for you lucky SOB's that can get some today. Remember, pics or it didn't happen.

^^^ I think I picked the right time to get a headcold, with this week pretty much limited to SRX, Alpenglow, occasionally Red (ran for an hour this AM before breaking), Rainbow and Early Riser. Minimal FOMO

Cleared a couple gallons of snot this AM blowing out my and the widow lady neighbor’s driveways and berms. About one foot fell here since yesterday PM.

Looks like a slight lull in storm cycle - maybe they can catch up on snow moving and lift de-icing. I’m ready for tomorrow - the GPOs kinda quivered a little when I put them in the Subie

Anybody know what broke on CCX and when they expect it back on line? Gonna be fuckin deep there with no traffic since Saturday

Heal up TBS! I am hoping to get up there, even for a half day at least on Friday. I have a feeling with MLK weekend, the powder/snow fever will be high.

Well, we tried… went up to Meadows and got there right around 12:00p. Waited for MHX for about 45-mins. Gave up and went inside for lunch. Finished lunch around 1:30p and MHX still wasn’t loading. Gave up and went back home. Wouldn’t ya know it, MHX started turning as soon as we got back home to Welches. Oh well. Might try Bowl tomorrow afternoon and Meadows again on Friday.

Dayum, that sucks. I looked at 2:05 and MHX still wasn't spinning

Shit, back in the olden days, we'd get 18-22" over night and we'd be expected to dig the lift out and get 'er going by 9:00
But at least the cats got their work done by 7:30, so we had our maze area groomed and they back bladed right up to the lift

Anyone here in lifts or maintenance that can fill me in if it's harder or easier to get a HS vs fixed chair going after a storm?

    Fingers crossed Thursday's better

I’ll be up at Bachelor on Friday. I got updates all day today from friends. Sounded like the road didn’t get plowed until late morning and very few lifts turned.

Two big factors are they were closed yesterday and it's a brand new lift so they're just figuring stuff out.

Apparently Red ran then died. I heard Skyliner is back online. No word on CC operations. Thursday might be a slight lull still with winds between the next monster along with the artic air mass for the weekend. See ya super el nino.

I get that, I know first hand
Not getting a cat to it until 10ish. Then not parking the chairs...that's odd

Anyone from Tline have Intel? When/what did they have spinning today?

I was going to take a friend up tomorrow, but if this pans out, if will affect lift ops

I want to give Meadows management the benefit of doubt but I can’t… fool me twice then shame on me. Same old excuses whenever the storm hits. Maybe they did not hit the target holiday revenue and need to cut down on operation and maintenance cost to get their bonus later? Anyways they got your money already and it’s the only game in town, what ya gonna do?
Go to Tline? …yeah I’m little jaded. On the positive, I had the best five turns of this season ;-)

Just watch a Youtube video like everyone else, and they should have it dialed on how to operate a ski lift in no time.

    Nuking on Skibowl Cams.

Crews all around the mountain and at the resorts got a lot of work ahead of them still this week.

One variable I didn't consider was employees getting there. When it's nuking like this the Hwy dept can't always keep up

Hi all. Planning a trip to Bachelor on this upcoming holiday weekend. I'm going to assume long lift lines but wondering about likelihood of the summit chair spinning in stormy weather?

Also, how early do the parking lots fill up?

    Thanks,
    -Jong
