If you ever get the opportunity to talk with anyone who has played in the NFL, run this one by them. The difference between the Carolina Panthers and the best college football team ever assembled is vast.

The fact that the average age is 5 years older alone would be a huge advantage, then you have the fact that there's no concern about eligibility, pros are paid to bust their asses year round, and every pro player is hand picked. I don't think there's a college team that could compete against Carolina's second string much less their starters. I think I'd walk that one back while you're admitting your mistakes.

[QUOTE=The Reverend Floater;6970885]Jimbo recruited the #1 class in the first year of NIL. He just didn't coach.[/QUOTE

That was first year when they were paying 5 stars that didn't pan out. I think the better programs identify talent better and troll the transfer kids hard. Jimbo just didn't adjust to anything I'm the last few years. Fucking complaining about traveling ONE time zone, really ?

Big12 and ACC will be gone in 10 years, maybe 5.
Not talking about next year, just this one, won’t be a PAC next year.
But WA and Oregon will continue to play UCLA, USC, as they are going to the B1G too

I'll show myself out now LOL.. Until Texas or Oklahoma wins something meaningful that is..
I mean, Texas is very much in the hunt for the CFP. Do you actually follow college football or are you just vomiting out the window as you pass by? So bizarre.

This shitshow all started because I'm saying Texas > Oregon for a playoff spot if both win out. Main obstacle for Texas (and Oklahoma) is the Big12 refs screwing them over at every opportunity. Last thing the Big12 wants is Texas or OK leaving as Big12 Champion. So that's where all those bullshit calls and no calls come in. It's a stone cold fact that Big12 refs stole the winning touchdown from Oklahoma at the end of the OK OSU game.

Big12 Refs handed Texas the win over Huston with potentially the worst spot of the season.

If you leave the game up to the refs then you deserve to lose.

Here's the deal...this is a big "if", but if Oregon can win out they will have 1 loss against a top 5 team and will have beaten that team in a rematch. Texas is a 1 loss team with a bad loss against an Oklahoma team that is having a down year.
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

Oklahoma was a top 10 team at that time.. and.. and.. Today OK is 13.. IF they win today??

And IF Texas beats Oklahoma in their Conference title game rematch?? Texas still beat Top 5 (were they #1 then?) Bama (still highly ranked) at their place.. OR WA rematch will be neutral field just like the TX OU game was..

One other point to add. I'm not certain but Oregon should have more top 25 wins than Texas due to the number of Pac 12 teams that were in this year. The conference was strong and Big 12 didn't have the same level of competition.

This, contrary to every losing homer's bitchfest officials don't give a shit who wins. Obviously they're human and make mistakes but 99% of the time all the mistakes even out in the course of a game. It's pretty simple , play better and score one more point than your opponent and you win.

True…but obviously you have never coached?….lol. Officials/referees, etc. can absolutely hold grudges/and make calls against teams because they can. (at all levels)

In 30 years of coaching at HS/college level….it definitely happens. When you see certain guys walking in….its like, oh boy here we go. Some guys can be total pricks…Most are great guys though and just want to call a “good game”.

But you are correct…it is the teams’ fault for leaving it up to the referee and having that one or two calls within the game to effect the outcome. If you’re good, you just win no matter what happens.

End of the day Oklahoma is not as good as Texas is this year. They barely beat BYU when they were favored by 25+ They lost to Kansas.. with similar referee assistance. Oklahoma would get destroyed in the playoffs this year. They won't beat Texas again. They can probably beat OK State given another opportunity though.. Big12 refs are absolutely calling the games in favor of the Big12 2024 teams. See ya, wouldn't want to be ya..

My Masters Degree says The University of Texas...... at Dallas.. They don't have a football team so I picked the best of all the available University of Texas FBS options and stick with it when they're not playing Oklahoma. UTD's Chess Team is amazing!

Those other non FBS teams will probably be better than WVU and the rest of the Big12 next season..

    Ha, maybe so.

Nothing wrong with picking a school to be a fan of. The 'we' is probably a stretch, though. Wonder how Austin grads would feel about that.

I remember during graduation prep, they made a big point that the name of the school is the University of Texas AT AUSTIN.

However, we are big tent folks, and welcome any fans aboard the bandwagon even if didn’t attend the 40 acres. And even if they have downhorned in the past. We forgive all past sins.

    QFT.

If everything falls exactly right is there a chance they could meet a third time in the National Championship game? Talk about pissing off most of the country.

So far everyone is holding serve on rivalry weekend. Looking like conference championships will actually matter. Anything but two SEC or two BIG teams in the final four will be fun.
