Ha! No kidding. The MK4 rebuild/upgrade on caffeine is challenging enough on keeping focused.[emoji43]

    Ha. "Bob" is amusing.

For a second I was thinking some of the people must be copycats. But how would you even go about trying to do that?

Very impressive. That's a lot of paint placed extremely well, and quite the social statement. Wish I wasn't just floating by so I could do it justice.

So we have a scheduled power outage tonite so the power Co can replace some equipment. We've been getting emails, phone calls and letters about it for weeks. Power just went off at 10pm. Five minutes later I get a text notification from the cable company saying we're experiencing an outage in our area and they are working on it. So either the power company never told the cable company or they knocked out the cable company's equipment.

TBF, just putting “Please R” on the card would look pretty stupid, eh?

These people also talk about the "VIN number" of their car and get money from "ATM machines." LOL out loud.

I'm working in a sleepy town out in the middle of nowhere when I came across this random mural on the back side of an abandoned building yesterday...

unsure if it's deep commentary on our perceptions of stupidity or if the artist had too much life difficulty and doesn't know the conventions of which variables go on which axis

I'd like to think it's the former, but either option is kind of awesome.

eta: Also, Robert Sapolsky would strongly argue that a difficult childhood (poverty, abuse, neglect, etc.) can directly lead to "stupid" behaviors in adolescence and adulthood. So, there's definitely some gray area regarding what should be the independent and dependent variables.

The myth of human potential being fully realized in the crucible of lifelong struggle and adversity is endemic. It’s a fun story when it happens, but it doesn’t really happen as much as we like to imagine.
