Will report back.

Don’t have a truck but got toyo AT 3 on my subie based on the lack of noise on my buddies truck. Been great so far and curious to see how early fall snow goes for traction

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Do we at least get to know what happened? Nail? Screw? Blew out the inside sidewall drifting a forest road? Curiosity is killing me.

Yeah sorry I’ve been outta town for a while. Discount tire contacted Nokian and they are giving me 57% of original purchase price credit towards new tires. Tires were manufactured in 2018 so five years old and had 8/32 remaining.

I haven’t gotten back to them on the replacement, but that’s some thing I need to do when I get back to SLC.

My tires always seem to have removed a bunch of studs themselves when I decide that they are not worthy for another winter. Them hitting the wheel well is better then when they dislodge and hit my paint or my mirrors. That will piss me right off.

Got SUPER tired of my 22's (with Pirelli Scorpions) on my Ram 1500, so I picked up some OEM Ram Rebel 18" wheels, and threw a set of Falken WP A/T3W's on them. The ride is much improved, and surprisingly, really no noticeable noise penalty. Should be a kickass winter wheel set. I went with the SL's since I don't really tow. Might even scoop up another set of 18's and put some summer/road tires on those and dump the 22's altogether.

Nokian Outpost nAT on my new Tacoma. Nokian fanboy I guess. I've had LT2's and LT3's in the past. IMO the LT3's were the best unstudded snow tire that I have had, great as part of a two tire set up. Going to run the Outpost as a one tire set up this time around.

Interested to see how you like them. I was hoping to put them on my F150 last year but they were back ordered and with two sliced sidewalls, I couldn't wait.

I’m curious how that nAT sidewall compares to the Hakk LT3 … winter road grip on the LT3 is great but stability under a heavy dynamic load leaves a lot to be desired.

If it’s got a more supportive sidewall than the Hakk, that nAT does look like it could be a nice alternative to the AT3W, KO2, AT3, etc. Hopefully with Nokian’s reputation on the line they biased it with better snow and ice performance than the other brands’ year round 3PMSF ATs!

Scored some studded Hankook RW11 on super duty rims with at least 8/32 depth for Winter. Good to go.

I got some of those new Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT's put on my AWD van today, only have 40 miles on them but they're nice so far. Definitely more road-oriented than the outgoing AT3-4S and very quiet but big enough tread blocks I'm sure they'll work well for rough roads and easy trails.

Where did you find these? Everywhere I’ve seen these are out of stock? My dad was in the market for tires recently and I recommended the nAT but couldn’t find them in stock.

Welp, I did not search for them on the net. My local garage in west bum fuk Maine was able to get them for me in about a weeks time. I'm a little surprised they are hard to find as this model is made at Nokian's plant in the states, versus coming from the Ukraine??

Goes back the idea that you can/should just order tires from your mechanic. My pops was dealing with the usual big chain tire stores.

This appears to be where the tire experts hang, so I have this for your consideration. These are from 2016, and were purchased by the PO of the vehicle, so I doubt I have a warranty claim. This is the second Toyo that has failed like this in the past few months. I don't drive very much (work 1t van), so I am loath to spend a lot on a set and have them fail again way before they wear out. Are the cheapo E rated tires good enough to replace the blown ones?

What do you consider a "cheap" E rated tire?

I've bought two sets now of Cooper Discoverer LT 245-75-16 E rated from Walmart, and they're much less than other brands from other usual sources (Discount, Tire Rack). Last set was around $530 for four, installed, in spring this year. They're totally fine for my usage.

If that's cheap enough, check out Walmart for black Friday sales on now.

Interesting. Is that a Toyo C/T? I'm a big fan of those partly due to durability. I've never had a 7 year old tire. If your expected usage is so low that you don't wear out tires, I'd consider getting a cheaper tire and replacing sooner assuming performance doesn't matter.

    What’s the datecode on those?

I’m with El Chup, just get whatever LTs you can get at Walmart and call it done. Although I hate Walmart and would rather buy from Costco, but that’s just me.

Looks like the tread depth is at the wear bars

Guys at the tire shop were perplexed how my Michelins were 12 years old but looked brand new. Haha, they sat in a garage and the Sequoia never got driven.

I've been very happy with my AT3W. Going into my second winter. It'll be interesting to see how they perform. On my HD truck I usually start the winter on new tires as I only get 20-25k miles out of tires.

A seven year old tire at the end of its tread wear, huh?
