That's a special kind of awesome. But, there was a period of my life where I was spending a lot of time in southern Missouri for work and I can't say I'm in much of a rush to go back.

Wow. Love the history and the house.

Assessed value is wild. Paying $4k on $185k value. Once you go to $3MM sales. What’s new tax? Ouch.

That's the fanciest part if town. You can get triple the house in other neighborhoods.

Too far north to be nice in the winter, too far south to be temperate in the summer.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

If those are real Nakashima chairs and a table....probably a LOT more than that.

    Edit: they are.

Here's a set that looks pretty similar for $220k https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/ta...id-f_35338082/

Seems like a good deal to me. Get the meth lab up and running and the mortgage is paid for. And you probably could get some nice spending money to furnish it, potentially a Nakashima dining room if the meth is good quality.

Nostalgia meth could be a great niche market.

$3 mil seems pretty cheap for Brubeck's Cali house but I guess it would take a particular buyer.

That's like a step back in time, wow. Would be an awesome AirBnB or even put it on the list for movie/TV filming locations (not those kinds of movies, pervert).

This pic makes me think if they sprayed luminol on any surface like in the Law & Order/CSI shows then every surface -- the bedspread, foot board, headboard, even the ceiling -- would "indicate." $1.85 Mil just doesn't buy what it used to.

Back when I worked in the biz, we had quite a few projects in a house up in Malibu that was very popular with Playboy photo shoots and adult videos. Yeah, you didn't really want to touch anything in there.
