Made a thread about this ski, but probably shoulda posted in this thread instead. Would love more info regarding this ski. Nightstick 97 looks to have metal reinforcement near the edges of the ski. Also looks to have a fair amount of beef based on the weight.

Midsole at 0 is about 5.5cm from center. Information is somewhat lacking on the size run, but @ 177 the dimensions are 132/96/122, outlining a twinish shape, but not completely symmetrical.

Marketing so far looks to place this ski into a firm freestyle ski, but I have a hunch that this ski mounted at 0 or even at -2 will ski similar to other all-mointain twins like the faction CT 2.0 or nordica soul rider 97.Name: target600_0f4b9ffc__a17824_nightstick_97.jpg

We are really pleased with how the boots came out, they are a big step forward from buckles in both comfort and performance. Hopefully lots of people get chance to try them out or the other BOA boots on the market. Many more BOA boots are on the way so this is just the start

Any chance of integrating BOA into the Flexon Boots? I’m their biggest fan, having been in the classic Raichle/Kniessel/Full Tilt (haven’t made it to the FL3X yet) last for 40 years, but we all know the buckles are annoying, and given they’re already using cables, it seems an obvious use case. I can already feel what it would be like to precisely dial in the fit and flex. Keep the classic last, add a walk mode (with a swap-able backwards hinging tongue) and BOA, please, before Roxa or Dalbello beat you to it.

I'm really liking the look of the Head Oblivion 116. Long radius, versatile, wide twin with a decent weight and perfect sizing for me.

That would actually be really cool. The buckles are the worst things about the Flexon models. Ski great though.

Been eying Fischer boots lately. Their pro boot is coming stock with zip fits and the MV has boa. Has anyone been on these things yet? First company to put stock zip fits in their boots is a bold move.

Also, curious how the other boot gurus feel about Fischer's vac shells these days. My experience previously was a pretty dialed fit when I stuck my salmons into their machine.

Edit: the rc4 pro comes with the boa on the MV, but not the vac. Looks like the 130 models have the vac shell.

Good question, currently BOA does not have solution developed for 3 piece boots. I agree that it would make a lot of sense and the discussions we have had with them on how we could implement it on that style of boot have been very promising. We were originally looking at something coming to market in the next few seasons but at this time there is not a solution which ourselves or Dalbello will be moving forward with. It overall comes down to project scope and volume. 3 piece boots only account for 3% of all alpine boots sales so committing a few years development to the system just does not really offer much pay off unfortunately. You will for sure see it eventually though and it will be from us or Dalbello first but there are other BOA developments in the works which you will see first.

Is anyone working on an LV race style boot with BOA? Something like Redster CS, Head Raptor, etc. Fischer seems closest now with their MV boot.

We are yes. We started with MV, then move to HV and then a true LV race style boot is next.

People skiing in 96mm plug citizen race boots will be the second to last group to adopt BOA. Actual elite level racers will be a couple decades behind, if at all.

You may be surprised actually. Some boots are hitting the market later this year in this category. With the performance increases BOA gives it really does make logical sense to add it to the highest level boots.

    That's just evil.

But again, Flexon (the OG) shell with BOA should be a thing, right about now.

Imagine being able to just push a button on the BOA thingy, then get preset tension (which will vary depending on the time of day and day), which will also vary throughout the day, and adjust for those variables. Ah, sweet, then we have electronics in our shells, which will never, ever, for any conceivable reason, fail. But if you just put a Flexon with BOA and tech toes, combined with alpine DIN norm (not GW) out there, you'd have a unicorn. And unicorns matter. You can put the BOA dial on the upper lateral side of the cuff, btw. That way it won't get in the way.

Yeah would be pretty cool I agree. But I take your idea and counter with put the BOA dial on the top of the tongue for the closure of shell and tongue and instead use that BOA dial on the lateral side of the cuff to internally close a heel restraint system much like a BOA conda in snowboard boots, not that I have been thinking about this........

Would be awesome. Even better if the internal insert played nice with those of us that have bone spurs and can't fit into a three piece with enough of a precise fit due to the tongue.

Ok, cool. How would that play with different tongue flexes, though? Not being critical at all, just wondered if that's something you've (not) thought of. [emoji16]
