Bingo. If sticking to your local market, best of luck to you. I'm shopping for something totally different (and ended up going private party), BUT it's taking me being willing to fly across the dang country and drive it home to get something anywhere close to where I wanted to be on price. Still not a "deal" per se, but much better than anything else I've seen. A full 10K less than anything comparable I've seen around here. Worth sacrificing some airline points and a day off work to save that much IMO.

Yeah, and there are a bazillion of them on the lots here. Thus, the "deals." VW and Kia's cranking those babies out like crazy.

And if it makes you feel better, keep on buying those uber-common blobmobiles so you can tell yourself its NOT a shit market. As for me, I'll stick with my Euro wagons. Even if it does take more effort to seek out. You do you, though. Not judging.

You're right. The RAV-4 and CR-V definately fall into the category of Euro wagons and not blobmobiles. I think what it comes down to is that you're saying it's hard to find a reasonably priced Euro wagon. I'm saying it's not hard to find nor negotiate on a blobmobile. OP's looking for a blobmobile, not a Euro wagon.

While you're correct he's looking for a common blobmobile and not a Euro wagon, go visit your local Toyota/Honda dealerships and report back about inventory and all the great deals you're finding out there!
When it comes to the car market, RAV4 =/= Atlas

Sure, you can negotiate the price on a blob IF you take the loan from the dealer. If you have an outside source or will be paying cash the price will be (at least) $1500 above the advertised price and you probably won't get that first oil change for free either.

You drive a VW outside the first 30K miles, so it's a wash. You were however smart enough to get an extended warranty. Never drive a VW off warranty.

    Pics of GF?

I don’t know what VWs deal is but friends of ours had a nearly new atlas partially wrecked (all side body damage) and it took 5 months to get parts and finish a repair. Thankfully the other drivers insurance picked up the bill on a 5 month long rental.

Market price paid with a reskinned third party warranty..... EVERY Kia Telluride listed at a local dealership has $2500-6000 discount listed.

The point is the poster is looking for a NEW car. Just because you bought your USED car at a dealer doesn't make it a comp. Keep telling yourself it does but you are wrong.

Jesus. The Telluride was new, but you keep spinning my that tale that the new car market is fucked and the used car market is fucked and everything is fucked. It just isn't the case, but I'm sure it makes you feel better.

The quantity and quality of stupidity in here is amazing. Is this what it's like to only have a GED?
