You’re breaking multiple water bottle cages in crashes? You’re doing something wrong.
King Cages are the answer

I've been riding without pack or hip pack lately, with water bottle in a feed bag. Have lost multiple bottles the last month. Feed bag cinched up pretty tight, and they still get out. Annoying part is, how do I never notice when the bottle pops out?? It's literally right under my nose, you'd think I would see or hear it. But no...
Ordered a new (to me) bike Tuesday afternoon. Later Tuesday night, ordered some grips and pedals and incidental shit for the new bike from Backcountry. I’m very local to the big BC warehouse but I knew I couldn’t make it there in person until Friday or Saturday
Finally got the tracking info, BC handed it off to DHL, who is gonna hand it off to USPS for final delivery. Estimated delivery is Monday. Am I crazy, or does it seem ridiculous to use two different shipping companies and 5-6 days just to move a 2.5lb box less than five miles from the warehouse to my doorstep?
I’ve broken a couple Zee cages. One riding through a rock garden and the other overshooting a small jump and landing to flat. The plastic was pretty brittle on both. I’ve moved on.

OK, so when I got my 1st mountain bike in about 1986, bottle cages were how you carry your water in a water bottle and tools and spare tubes in a frame pack. And some free thinkers rode with fanny packs.
And then years later hydration packs came along solved that hassle. Except they eventually got all kinds of bells and whistles on them to the point that they became a PITA and spendy as hell and now we are back to water bottles and cages and fanny packs.
Everything old is eventually new again.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
"Happiest years of my life were earning < $8.00 and hour, collecting unemployment every spring and fall, no car, no debt and no responsibilities. 1984-1990 Park City UT"
Ha! Yeah I had forgotten about the triangle frame pack I had. And the pump was a friction fit to the frame. I still have that! I think I dabbled with the under seat pack too. What a shitshow back then. Constantly breaking stuff and flats. But it was all we knew and it was awesome! Just like 208 gs straight skis on a powdah day.
Fidlock bottle system NEVER come off your bike unless you want it to.

Lol, I currently have a small frame bag, pump strapped to frame, really low profile under seat bag, and a 1 liter water bottle in cage. Retro!
But I don’t have U or V brakes, strap/cage pedals, bull moose bars, quick releases, and thumbshifters. Or rattled teeth and eyeballs.

RANT INCOMING
This is a common ebay tactic to hide products shipped from China and make you think they're domestic. Print out the shipping tag so that ebay thinks you shipped right away, and then wait for two weeks for the part to arrive from China. Even better, set up a third-party shipper that marks the product "Awaiting pickup by logistics" "Transferred to third-party warehouse" a couple times while they're waiting.
PROTIP: Anything shipped from "Hebron, KY" or "Monroe Township, NJ" is part of this scam and will take a couple weeks to arrive.
Moving on: I think "hydration packs" came into vogue when people finally realized that they were spending thousands of dollars on expensive purple ano parts with speed holes, or even carbon fiber, and then weighing their bike down with several times that weight in water. If you're carrying a 1L water bottle, you definitely notice the extra weight over bumpy trail sections!
The smarter ebike companies have gone back to usable water bottle mounts, and even stash compartments, because once you add 15+ pounds of motor and battery, the extra water weight isn't so noticeable.
Fucking mosquitoes should be dying back, but no this summer of endless rain has them out in droves
Pro tip: give your King Cage a little bend tweak to tighten its grip on your bottle now and then. That’s why they are great. You can do that hundreds of times. Can’t do that with carbon, and cheapie alloy cages will eventually break.
