Yeah, proper planning is key. But the best laid plans won’t come to fruition if other folks don’t know those plans exist.

The thing is, I totally spoil the living shit out of my pets. They lead the most comfortable and well-fed life imaginable. I’ve often thought that I’d like somehow to come back as my pet, they’ve got it made. Life will never be as good for them.

Pretty sure that is how most of us feel. When my dogs leave me in the next couple of years I will try hard to be happy with our 3 kitties as I just don't have the desire to raise another pup at this time. My wife tells me ya right. We will see.

Yeah, when it happens it leaves an open wound, but eventually it will scab over, allowing some new joy to enter your life.

Soooo cute. I love orange kitties.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

^^^^ that is for sure a lot of chaos in your near future, orange kitties are the wildest.

Thanks everyone for the good vibes, reality is settling in and Ugly is getting 4x the amount of loves now. As least his special food won't get pillaged, and he won't have to compete for the nursery rocking chair or any of the baby swings from now on.
I'm gonna be on the lookout for a shelter kitty who needs a better life though. Too much room in the house and my black heart not to give another kitty a 2nd chance.

Right? Skye and Freya shredded our gorgeous $4k curtains to ribbons and are still working on the furniture. Don't have nice stuff with kitties or puppies is what I have learned.

Yeah - mine are just about gone, but in general, if you've got kids, don't buy nice stuff.

And orange cats share ONE single brain cell. ALL orange cats on the planet. So there will be many days when neither one has a brain cell. Doomed, I tell ya, doomed.

Nice stuff is overrated. There is a certain freedom in not caring anymore. Fuck 'em if they want to judge!

    Savage!

In the month before her untimely demise Hobbes finally achieved her long held dream of murdering a squirrel. Those fuckers had been antagonizing her ever since we moved into the current house, and she had been hunting them for 5 years. I gave her 0 chances given the speed of the squirrels and the size of her rump which kept her on the ground when they could flee up the tree. Shouldn't have sold kitty short though, she eventually left a decapitated squirrel in front of the bedroom door. So proud of her.

Just catching up on this thread.

So sorry about Hobbes, Boissal. That is majorly rough.

We’re cat sitting for a family that has 6 cats. Each one very unique personality. 4 black cats, a grey tabby, and a calico.
