I gave her 0 chances given the speed of the squirrels and the size of her rump which kept her on the ground when they could flee up the tree. Shouldn't have sold kitty short though, she eventually left a decapitated squirrel in front of the bedroom door. So proud of her.
She was a good kitteh. Stone cold killa'!

I love that one is straight up lounging in the nip. That's the life right there!

Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

So comfy. The bark mulch sticks to his fur like velcro. Coming through the dog door scraps off a lot of it, but we find it everywhere.

I went to the rural adoption center over the weekend looking for a hurtin' ole cat to give a decent end of life. Found one possible so we'll see how it pans out.

she's 10+ and underweight. Likely someone's who escaped and has been on her own for about 5 months. Crusty and hissy but needy for attention so long as I'm not too forceful.
Just had a lot of teefers pulled and eating better now.

This place had a hoarder of some sort give up over 50 purebred ragdoll cats and kittens a few weeks back. Weird thing is, they were all in excellent condition. Fucking beautiful and as well socialized and loving as can be.
I went into the room containing the last 15 or so and as I petted the first couple, they all just came out to greet me and trade some affections.
    It was Awesome.
Stunning fluffy coats, blue eyes everywhere and kisses from all.
    T'was hard to leave.

    Props for a great deed.
That skinny kitty deserves a good home to retire into.

Question: is it truly hoarding if you provide optimal conditions for all fur kids?

Honestly, I kinda dug for a little more explanation on that but didn't get far. Maybe it wasn't like we normally see on the tube, but it was a shitton of cats.

Walking into that room was downright surreal. about 12 kittens to 1 year, then about 6-8 parent age ones, the oldest looking no more than 10.

All clean, fluffy and interested. So many have been adopted out but still a big handful of amazing cats.
For obvious reasons, having 50 cats in your house is wack, but 50 of these blue eyed angels lovin ya up and otherwise being delightful could have some range of appeal. Particularly if your a tripper. Sapphire eye overload.

Litter box duty would be constant.

    Thanks for the kind words.
We're up for a little more pet challenge but in the short term. It's ideal finding an elder that needs an easy wind down, instead of finishing the long haul in a small space, with many other cats that come and go, but not them.

That last fact is why Miss Mayhem is named the way she is.
